Wow. f*** paul pierce, the official blower of the entire 2004/2005 celtics season. What the hell was he thinking.

Wow. We still won, and Justin Reed played. Al Jefferson is a f***ing stud. Seriously. In the biggest game of his life, look what he did. He simply dominated O'Neal. The refs pretty muched sucked the ballsack the entire game. Very frustrating to watch. Cant wait till game 7 at the fleet!

I hate Reggie Miller. He bitches so much whenever his team loses or whenever there's a bad call against his team, but he's the one sticking out his leg when he shoots and pulling people into picks. I mean, seriously man... on a better note:

I think next year will be a good year. The young'ns got a good feel for the game and I think if we can go after Chris Duhon (yes, I said Chris Duhon) from the Bulls, we could really have a great future. Supposedly he signed a very short contract with the Bulls...next year will be his 3rd season in the NBA straight out of Duke. I mean, sure, he possibly cost the Bulls the series with that bonehead move, but I mean that can't be him normally.

I wanna know what Yankshater thinks about Duhon...

Duhon... im not really high on him. He did have a lot of college experience though so he could work out. But this will be a really interesting off season. To be honest, I would like to see Payton and Toine not be resigns. I would really like to see a lineup of Banks, Davis, Pierce, Jefferson, and LaFrentz. I would like to see us add some good role players for off the bench because that right there is a great lineup. If we let go of Toine and Payton our roster would look like this:

PG- Banks

PG/SG- West

SG- Davis

SG- Allen

SF- Pierce

SF/PF- Reed

PF/C- Jefferson

PF/C- LaFrentz

C- Perkins

C- Blount

I think that right there is a good team, especially if Jefferson and Banks play like they should. They both know the game better now, and I think they can start fine. Jefferson I could see turning into a stud with an opportunity. I think that we need players that can come of the bench and give you solid minutes. Do stuff like Jeff Foster did in Game 7.

Anyways, I would really like to see the Celtics try to sign the following players. Keep in mind that these arent the best FA's out there, but woudl be good fits for our team. PF/C Stromile Swift, PG Dan Dickau, PF Udonis Haslem (Restricted), and G/F Bobby Simmons. All four of those guys would fit into this team perfectly. I doubt we would get them, but if we did they would probably start. If we got Simmons, he woudl probably start and Davis would come off the bench again. If we got Swift, Jefferson would probably go to the bench. Dickau would probably split time with Banks. Haslem would start over Jefferson as well... Im really high on Haslem. Good rebounder, hard worker.

Also dont forget, if we somehow dont sign any big free agents, there is the draft. This year has an incredibly deep pool of players. With the 18th, 50th, and 53rd, picks, the Celts have shitloads of possibilities. Players I would like to see us pick with the 18th pick are Danny Granger (SF, Senior, New Mexico), Rudy Fernandez (Guard, Spain), CJ Miles (SG, High School), Hakim Warrick (PF, Senior, Syracuse), Wayne Simien (PF, Senior, Kansas) and Fransisco Garcia (SG, Junior, Louisville). All of these players will more than likely be available because of the unusual depth to this years draft. It is potential that it is possible that players like Bracey Wright (Indiana), Luther Head (Illinois), Julius Hodge (N.C. State), Kelenna Azubuike (Kentucky), and Alan Anderson (Michigan State) could all be mid-late second round picks.

Either way, it doesnt matter. Because of their last few drafts, the Celtics have put themselves in a great position. Lots of cap room (i think), and lots of options. If we arent able to land a good free agent, then we will be able to have a good draft. I really like the way that Danny Ainge has changed this team, and has them headed in the right direction. Even though we lost in the playoffs, it went great lengths to getting our young players like Allen, West, Jefferson, Banks, and Perkins all valuable playoff and pressure situation experience. Even though Indiana beat us, I am still ecstatic about the position the Celtics are in right now.

Hakim Warrik, Wayne Simien, and Francisco Garcia sound like perfect fits here. I'd love to see one of those 3 players in a Celtics jersey. Think Francisco could try out point guard and see how he likes it? (PG- Garcia SG- Pierce SF- Davis, I like that backcourt)

I'm pretty sure I saw something that Ainge was seriously thinking of trading for LeBron. Our team is so young and then we have Pierce and Walker. If we traded Pierce and Walker, our present team would be great and our future team would be amazing. If that happened, I could LeBron and Jefferson turning into a Kobe Shaq-like duo.

I dont really like LeBron for Pierce and Walker (assuming its a sign and trade deal). Pierce and Walker would bring together so much more than LeBron. Not only veteran leadership, but about 20 ppg, 8 rpg, and 4 apg more. Both Pierce and Walker have said they loved playing here too. Plus, I'm not too high on 1 great and 1 very good player for one of the best.

i would trade them both for LeBron but thats not happening because Toine is a FA and Pierce makes a ton of money. LeBron doesnt make much annually yet.

This draft looks deep and some speculate its because of the threat of an age limit. So everyone is trying to jump now while you can. May 14th is the last day to declare for the draft early. I agree I would like to see any of those 3 on the Celtics. Garcia is a 6'7" guard which is the size of TMac

yeah, but still... its like in NBA Live, trading a 90 and a 86 for a 95... something i wouldnt do

If I were the Celts I would do that in a heartbeat. I would then sign a decent PF to a 1 or 2 year contract while Jefferson develops. If you add Lebron to the young talent they have now they could be a dangerous team in 2 years.

I think Al is ready to start and is better than decent. I think next season, if he started, he could be a 15 point 8 rebound kinda guy.

And about the trade, I'd say its more like an 89 (Pierce) and an 82 (Walker) for a 95 and potentially 98 or 99, Jordanesque, around 25.

I honestly dont think LeBron would fit in here. Yeah, hes a fastbreak, up-tempo player, but he is pretty selfish and heaves up way too many shots. That wouldnt fit well into our lineup.

Another guy I would like to see us go after is restricted free agent Tyson Chandler (im pretty sure hes FA). He can give 10 and 10 a night. If we could sign him then we could move LaFrentz over to PF or have him be a sixth man.

Like I said before in this thread. There are tons and tons of possibilities for this team, and I pretty much cant wait to see which way they go.

REQUEST: No more LeBron talk. It isnt even close to a prevelant thought that we can get LeBron.

1) We dont have enough to give for him

2) He will want way too much money in free agency

Well, I suggested Duhon from the Bulls, but Yankshater said he wasn't too high on him.

Tony Allen is just as good.

PS Anybody know a site with all the upcoming free agents?

I would LOVE to get Samuel Dalembert. He is amazing. He's just like Ben Wallace, he get so many blocks and rebounds.

We don't need PG (West and Banks). We don't need SG (Pierce and Allen). We need a SF (All we have is Ricky). We might need a PF if Toiney leaves but just a decent one for short term because we have the AMAZING Al Jefferson! It would be good if we got a C too but it's not a need because we have Raef and Blount.

Players I want: Dalembert for PF, Korver or Marshall could be a good sixth man at SF.

My list of best players for the Celts:

Dalembert

Chandler

Korver

Marshall

Redd

Hughes

Ilgauskas

Those are reasonable players. Obviously we want a player like Allen, just because he's awesome but we don't need him at all.

For those who dont know the terminology... "Restricted" signifies that a player's current team can match any contract offer made by another team. "Team Option" and "Player Option" mean the team or player has the right to void the player's current contract, making him a free agent.

I dont think that we really need a shooting guard as we have West, Allen, Davis, and Pierce can all play it. What we need is a point guard to go along with Marcus Banks. Delonte can play it but I dont know how well. Possibly Damon Jones if he opts out, but he would be looking for a lot of money. We also badly need a big body on the boards and a small forward.
