Celtics guard Tony Allen has been arrested and charged with assault.

Allens a very good player, and played very well for the Celts last year. This is sad. I liked him, hopefully he can get right back on track quickly, as he is a guy that fits this teams make up and style of play. Up-tempo, running the floor offense and tough defense is what he brings, and thats how this team likes to play. Hopefully we will see him back on the court soon.

I've always thought Marcus Banks was gonna be a great point guard. Heck, the Celtics took him back in the Payton trade and gave Chucky Atkins instead.

I saw the same things. Hes probably the fastest player in the NBA, and one of the best full court press defenders. But yeah, outside of 18 feet, he doesnt really have a consistent offensive game.

Yeah I went to the game last night. I'm not a Celtics fan in fact I consider myself to be Anti-Celtics. So I was pretty bored last night as I was at least hoping to see a good basketball game but it was anything but. Portland just looked pathetic especially in the 3rd quarter. I think my biggest ovations were for Scalabrine (which drew the ire of the crowd around me) and for Ha-Seung Jin (a big 7 foot guy) who we were rooting for the Blazers to put in the whole time. It was good to see some future stars in Green and Webster but overall I'm happy I didn't waste 38 bucks on the game and got the tickets for free.

I saw that Delonte West is in the Rookies vs Sophomores game to replace Jameer Nelson. Don't know if that has already been posted, sorry if it has, but I didn't feel like searching to find out lol.

 

Either way, he deserved to be in it in the first place, and we have another Celtic to watch on All-Star weekend

they need to play gerald green more, hes got so much talent and has had hardly any playing time. I think a lot of other coaches would have this kid playing more. He has top 5 draft pick potential. I dont know why Doc doesnt play him. The kids been compared to Tracy McGrady, but he only gets 5 minutes a game? McGrady averaged 20 mins a game hes rookie season.

he was supposed to be a top ten pick goin into draft night, and then the lakers took bynum, and green was that one guy who just fell

 

a few months before the draft i saw one mock that had him going first overall

he then became the consensus number three pick

but then all of a sudden, other guys started rising and he fell to a "top ten" guy

every draft there is one guy that just falls for some reason, and he was that guy

 

as for the pt issue, he's starting to get more now, and i've been pushing for it for a while too

but, i dont think he should get 20 mins

he should get around 10 mins a game

once delonte and perk come back, he still should, scal is the guy who shouldnt be gettin any mins

They dont play him because hes friggin 19 years old. He is absolutely clueless at times with the ball AND on the defensive end. Makes way too many mistakes at this point to get any viable amount of playing time.

Yeah, he's a work in progress, not like LeBron where he just came outta high school and did damage. Give him maybe 2 seasons then he'll be at his full potential, and he's already showing signs of what he can do, which is good. I'm also very pleased with Gomes, who we got in ther friggin 2nd round , he's just soo smart and can do soo many things on the offensive boards, and like Big Al has great hands. Only thing is he needs to learn to hit the lay-up on his first try when he gets those big offensive rebounds, because he can tend to miss em.

ya im not saying 20 mins per game, but like 10-15 depended on how his playing. He should be in when Wally needs a break. Scalabrine should be getting 5 mins per game, since he does pretty much nothing but stand at the 3 point line and might make a 3 once in a while.
