  1. To be honest, I haven’t dug too deep into them. Thanks for the info. didn’t Campbell have an unconventional swing?
  2. Officially the worst team in the American League. That’s pretty sad.
  3. Doesn’t seem that way with various reports coming out last year. Not many GMs wanted to deal with him. I remember one sayid it always seemed like he was trying to “win” the trade. the best trade is when both sides win.
  4. Guerrero I disagree on. If he keeps rolling along someone will give up something good. Not top prospect good but better than the guys you listed him with. Late innings 103 with control is BIG at the deadline duran seems better suited for an offseason trade. Breslow missed on trading him last year because he overvalued him. He’s not having a great year. We’ll see on him. and as I write this, Guerrero, along with an error and excuse me hit gives up a couple runs…thanks Marcelo
  5. I figured we’d go either 3-3 or 4-2 on this road trip based on the teams we’re playing and the fact we’re better on the road (500). the more I watch Suarez the more I like this dude. Very balanced out there. Knows how to pitch and can not only control the zone but command all his pitches on most nights.
  6. My first ask to be in a deal from each team for either player (Gray/Chapman) some prospects I’d keep, and some I’d flip this winter… From the Cards - Catcher Rainiel Rodriguez Atlanta - SS/2b Tate Southisene CHC - OF Ethan Conrad or SP Jaxon Wiggins Brewers - I’d ask for Made (probably get hung up on ) then promptly call back and settle on Jett or Pratt. These are just some off the top suggestions. I want top 10 prospects that we can either flip or fill in somewhere.
  7. What teams would be top buyers for gray and Chapman? ATL? CHC? Brew Crew? cards? what would be a realistic return with more than a couple teams that should be interested?
  8. With two more years of control at a reasonable rate Duran will have plenty of suitors for his services. Bad start but overall he’s a good ball player that a lot of teams would love to have.
  9. Breslow got rid of all our depth and possible rotation help. Threes no way to defend losing 5-6 arms that could help in some way. Especially knowing how many pitchers can go down in one year.
  10. Alonso will be better than Contreras by years end. Already has more HR and just got warmed up last month. He’ll end up with his yearly averages again. I’m good without Bregman too.
  11. MVP just told me that Bennett is on a strict pitch count this year after returning from TJS and rehabbing last year. They’re taking it real slow with him. Hasn’t thrown more than 86 pitches in a game this year.
  12. Durbin is more middle IF. Contact speed and gap to gap doubles hitter. True corner guys usually have some power. Also, Harrison wasn’t projected as RP nor were they using him or talking about him in that capacity.
  13. Gotcha! That’s a good reason and I wasn’t aware of his past arm issues. I was hoping it wasn’t another analytics nonsense. Ok, I’m good. Thanks
  14. I was at work and will watch the game today but why in Gods name did Tracy take Bennett out after 74 pitches 4 hits 0 runs and 9 ks?? Kid could have had a couple more ips? I hope to God Tracy is not one of these absolute idiots that just take guys out after 80 pitches cause it’s the third time through the line lineup and the analytics suggest it.. Cause I’ll just stop watching this team altogether. we all know that even Theo has mentioned how Breslow relies too much on analytics.
  15. The whole situation with Bregman and Devers from start to finish was a mess, and then not resigning Bregman. If they really wanted him like they said they did, then they would have given him a NTC. That’s how they kicked the pooch. I was speaking from their perspective of really wanting him in Boston. to me, I didn’t think the deal would age well. I wanted Alonso, safer bet..
  16. Jordan was in AAA and had nothing left to really do there. He wasn’t a top guy, but capable of doing the job. Also gives him a shot that I thought he had earned. You got s*** back for him. Bad trade IMO..
  17. He was ready and we had nobody because they kicked the pooch on Bregman. Not that I’m upset AB is not here. Jordan is probably not an all star but he was capable of playing both corners. Really, my whole point on a lot of Breslows trades are timing and trading Players with no real replacement. When he traded Harrison he just traded like 3 depth guys, and then they traded two more starting depth guys for a Punch and Judy middle infielder playing out of position. Albeit he’s plying a solid 3b, his natural and best spot is 2b, which we also needed to a lesser extent. That’s 5 starters. Kinda dumb. do you trust Breslow to make the right moves at the deadline? I don’t. Even Theo has come out against how breslow relies too much on analytics to make decisions.
  18. Jordan only made sense to trade if you were going to resign Bregman. We had nothing besides Jordan who ready for his shot. Breslows trades can make sense on one level but be a complete head scratcher on another. He traded a lot our pitching depth before the Harrison deal, which we wouldnt have had to make if Jordan was there.
  19. Two starters and another player was too much regardless. I saw him as a 700-750ops when he straightens out. Nice hitter with little power who wasn’t worth the return.
  20. He always looked like a scared deer in the headlights. I was shocked when Breslow gave him 60m. Smart kid for instantly taking it. The book on him was holes in that swing that mlb starters would expose and that he didn’t have a true position because his defense was bad. Giving a kid like him a deal with very little time in MLB shows breslows inexperience. And honestly, this goes for Anthony too, but to a lesser degree.
  21. I agree that Harrison Drohan and another was too much for a slap hitter middle infielder. We didn’t give Harrison, or Blaze Jordan for that matter, a shot. Both were positions of need and both players had good upside that deserved a shot. what I’m afraid of is Breslow screwing up the deadline deals like Bloom standing pat in 22 and 23. With Gray, Chapman, Duran, Contreras, and a couple more to a lesser extent, we could bring back some good near MLB, or MLB ready players.
  22. No, but that’s what we got. John Henry has all but ruined this team with his firing every GM or POBO every three years since Theo, so now he has an inexperienced asst GM trying to do a job he has zero business doing. Henry has zero loyalty, zero respect and zero drive to win a ring anymore. It’s only about profit for him now.
  23. The inexperienced and in over his head Breslow relied way too much on one and two year guys. And he gave over a couple hundred million dollars to two rookies who should NOT have received anything yet. Campbell more so than Anthony.
