    I've been saying this all year. The problem (and it isn't even remotely close) is not the 2026 acquisitions, but the guys that were already on the team.

    Same here. Part of being a fan 'should be' about hope. 3 weeks is a long time. I'd give them that much leash, but could always change my mind if there was a Godfather offer out there.

    I stopped watching the ASG after they passed on Sanchez last year. He was #2 in the CY, and was probably #2 even at the ASB.

    If you are referring to Bregman, there is a -0- chance that you move a GG 3B to 1B to accommodate Devers glove at 3rd.

    The issue with those two guys, and many others mentioned, is that they are lefty. And every discussion in the off-season revolved around acquiring RH bats.

    There were two Laws and both of them were pretty far out there. He must have been up half the night typing sometimes. I'd log in and see page after page of 500-1000 word rants.

    My philosophy has always been that, unless you are a strong contender, or a bad team, you judge every trade on its own merits. A bit like the Vazquez trade where we weren't in a position to buy or sell.

    I don't see trading away a setup guy, even an elite setup, as signaling anything. I'd prefer to wait, but if someone gives you an offer you can't refuse, you make the move and figure it out later.

    I love Whitlock, and this ain't happening, but if Seattle did want to do that, I'd drive Whitlock to Seattle tomorrow.

    We stink because: Story with his .547, then injured Narvaez with his .526 RA with his .675, then injured Mayer with his .594 Crochet with his 6.30, then injured Bello with his 6.34 There really isn't a lot that could've been done to fix that. Except for Mayer, we weren't acquiring anyone to replace any of those players.

    Depending on Story's health is a legit concern, but that's why we acquired IKF. But Story with a .547 is very difficult to project. Yoshi's .696 is weak, but not a major concern.

    This is the only criticism I agree with, and quite frankly, I think everyone agreed with. Maybe some of this is 20/20 hindsight, but it really looked like a BP of Chapman & Whitlock, which is great, and a bunch of 5/6/7th inning guys, but no strong hold guys. OTOH, the fact that we are 3rd in ERA and 6th in OPSa suggests he might have been right. But I still want another RP.

    And since Schwarber re-signed with the Phillies, as everyone expected, there was precious little he could've done.
