  1. Not sure they will send him down if he looks ready. Easier to leave the toothpaste in the tube then to get it back in once out.
  2. Keeping your bat through the zone while meeting the ball out in front is very very tough. The reason why PCA can do it is because his pitch recognition is better, so he can swing a fraction earlier and still get good wood. You get natural launch when you are slightly out in front w good contact. Cedanne doesnt have this skill and its why he goes oppo more (more time to read the pitch). Its not a minor tweak to make Cedanne PCA. PCA might not even stay PCA.
  3. Gelatto Giolitto is james paxton. I was hopeful for paxton crawford at least
  4. Look at the bright side - more Ks at the plate and more CS equals less DPs
  5. They could pull a celtics and fire breslow (ainge) and push cora (stevens) upstairs
  6. Finally, I must insist that far and away the biggest difference makers in games and for teams are hitting and pitching. Say it again!
  7. Yeah, but what were we the year before that? (JK - Im sure terrible)
  8. Not defending Cora, but I also have no idea what to do/expect from here. I thought we were going to be good this year :/
  9. Not against it
  10. Agreed that his first month needs to be qualified by his second, and it doesnt buy him a lifelong immunity to being sent down, but.... Not sure what you mean about some kind of victory lap
  11. Lets dust off the "is wins the be-all end-all stat for pitchers?" debate next (lets not)
  12. TY for acknowledging Kutter Crawford. I think hes going to be a welcomed return. Or maybe Im convincing myself due to subconscious desire to avoid reality that this season is sinking.
  13. What could have been....Cries into coffee....What could have been?!?!? Maybe Bregman comes back beginning of August to a .500 team that is under 5 games out in WC and we make a deadline move for a pitcher? It feeling much more bleak about this year than I was before Breg injury but Im not quite there on lost cause.
  14. Hard disagree. I maintain that if it wasnt for the Bregman injury, this team would have figured it out - and still may. There is a lot of talent on this team. There wasnt last year, but Bregman, Crochet and even Navraez were huge additions. I do not agree on punting on next year or even tempering expectations for next year. I also dont believe we should punt on this year.
  15. I dont think Farrell has ever said one thing in his life that wasnt a cliche.
