  1. Priester is a work in progress for 2025
  2. I do not think Castillo fits our desired target for a pitcher. but the Seattle GM loves to make deals. Both teams can improve their teams by trading from strength
  3. I agree. We have to improve pitching and defense
  4. There is no doubt hang’em Chaim caused the pitching issues we face now. but Bres-slow seems reluctant to address it via free agency
  5. You have to give something to get something
  6. This offseason should give us some clear insight into the budget that has been set! Hang’em Chaim had 3 jobs 1.) build up the farm. 2.) get under budget 3.) stay competitive seems like bres-slow has accomplished this better than hang’em Chaim did. pitching is the issue and this is the perfect offseason to add more of it
  7. we have a ton room in the budget we can pay for a lot of yoshida. We have done it in the past
  8. For 2025 defensively LF Duran - below average. CF rafeala - above average. RF Anthony - above average. 4th OF - refsynder - average. 1B devers - dumpster fire. 2B - Campbell - average SS - story - average 3B - meidroth - average. reserve - Romy - below average reserve - Grissom - dumpster fire. reserve - Hamilton - dumpster fire. catcher - wong - dumpster fire, catcher - gasper - below average
  9. He is perfect for Seattle. Iszuki light!!!
  10. I make no claims to the value of the product received by the other teams!!! Haha
  11. Wow!!! Best three way trade ever!! I would do this tomorrow if I could.
  12. Defensively this year, I think the outfield of O’Neil, rafeala, Duran, refsynder, and abreau has been average to maybe decent! Catching is a below average. Wong is a dumpster fire, but Reese and Jansen are decent! the big problem is the infield! The infield is a dumpster fire! 3B - devers is a dumpster fire! ss - everybody not named story had been a dumpster fire. (Rafeala probably is below average at best). 2B - total raging dumpster fire!!!!. 1B - cassas and the others are all below average at best!
  13. 6.) perales - 2nd best stuff in the system (winkleman) how does he respond to surgery? Should be a mid rotation starter by 2026. 12.) fitts - a tale of two pitchers. When the velocity is up, mid rotation starter! When the velocity is down, batting practice pitcher 14.) Sandlin - mediocre stuff with a propensity to throw meatballs. 15.) tolle - mediocre stuff at TCU. 17.)monegro - mediocre stuff but plays up when command and control is good. 18.) dobbins - decent to good stuff. Not sure why he gets no love. 19.) ERC - mediocre stuff. 20.) valera - 3rd best stuff in the system. 21.) cason - unknown. TBD 22.) Guerrero - really good stuff. Command and control is seriously lacking
  14. I think Roman and Campbell start the year in Boston. By mid season 2025, I think the new big 4 will be teel, Mayer, Montgomery and arias! with cespedes pushing hard
  15. Penrod called up to Boston!
  16. Fitts was very successful tonight
  17. One of the Boston baseball writers published that the budget was 200 million.
  18. I agree 100 percent. He has skills to be adequate at multiple positions
  19. One of the writers I trust said the budget was 200 million. I have no idea if he is right, but it makes sense
  20. I watched him and laviolette a lot at Texas a&m in 2024. Montgomery has a cannon. In Fenway, first to third on a ball hit to right field becomes dangerous, like when we had Renfro
  21. I would not play Campbell at short unless forced to! Second base or outfield or dh is perfect for him. Assuming we trade Cassas, he would be perfect between devers and story/mayer
  22. I think a lot of money comes off the books and we can splurge on one free agent pitcher and some relievers and still get under the 200 million budget!!
  23. Agreed! I hope we sign fried, and trade for quality young starter. then sign two quality relievers. A lefty and a righty. (I realize that relievers reliability is inconsistent year to year.)
  24. Coming into this season, I did not expect much from Romero, but he played really well once he got on the field. I hope he stays healthy and continues the solid hitting and solid defense
