  1. I am extremely impressed with price’s ability to reinvent himself. He has just about mastered the cutter or splitter that he throws and it is becoming his new “out” pitch.
  2. I don’t think there is any reason that pedroia should not be able to come back and be effective, once the knee is completely healthy. If he has not damaged anything by coming back too soon, he should be fine!
  3. I think it is completely unrealistic to think this team can have depth when desperate Dave has drained the farm system in order to load up on front line starters and anchored us with tons of dead money. We may have more dead money on the books than the entire rays payroll!
  4. Mata went 5.1 tonight gave up one earned run, walked 6 (ouch) and struck out 8.
  5. Kelly gets them out of a jam!
  6. I am amazed at how well we are doing without Betts in the lineup. It’s all about pitching!
  7. Nice win today. Price’s cutter or splitter is working real well!
  8. Shawaryn with another impressive outing. 7 innings 1 earned run and 8 strikeouts.
  9. Schreff went 4 innings and struck out 7, but walked 3.
  10. Nice win tonight. Rodriguez looked really good. Command keeps improving and he is mostly hitting his spots. Go beeks! Can not wait to see him throw. Hopefully the butterflies go away early and he has command control.
  11. We drafted a few power hitters and quite a few relievers, including the best reliever in the draft. I absolutely love the tcu pitcher. He is legit. The first two picks appear to be dalbec clones. Long swings and not much contact.
  12. Dalbec mashed his 13th tater tonight. He may be struggling against left handlers by he continues to mash righties.
  13. I have always considered knuckleballers to be 500 pitchers at best. Today was a good day for him. Let’s hope his next outing is great as well.
  14. Wright pitched a whale of a game against Detroit.
  15. Isn’t this what should have happened when his elbow exploded during training camp? Why did we think he could pitch through this? After this season, ownership needs to access the massive incompetence of our medical staff and fix this problem!
  16. Dalbec with his 12th tater tonight. Cutter Crawford threw another impressive game as well.
  17. Decker at 64. Baseball America has him ranked 110. Somebody must see something special in this kid to overdraft him.
  18. This kid is probably 2022 at he earliest. He is Dalbec part 2.
  19. With Rolison off the board, Sox look to take prep 1b casas.
  20. With Pomeranz, first things first. What is driving the velocity decrease? Injury? Mechanical problems? Loss of stuff? I think if his velocity is like last year, then he has a chance to repeat last year’s results. I mean, his 88 mph heater is not fooling too many hitters at the moment.
  21. He appears to be a guesser at the plate. When he guesses right on a fastball, he can send it a long way. When he guessed wrong or does not get a fastball, it can result in a lot of strikeouts. But he has worked his average up to .210 plus, so he is making more contact.
  22. Heard on the radio that the Yankees had a scout following kumar rocker, the Georgia high school pitcher.
  23. Heard the Sox have had a scout watching Walker Steele of Oklahoma. I still hope we Rolison falls to us at 26 and pilkington at 64. My sleeper pick for 100 is the reliever from tcu German felder. Throws mid 90’s and has a decent slider. He should skyrocket through the minors and be in the big leagues by September 2019 as a call up.
  24. Sturgeon with two taters for Pawtucket tonight. Rei with his 4th also.
