Betts is a special player, but if your lead off hitter is getting on base, hitting taters and making things happen, you have a great chance to win those games (if your pitching is good.) if your lead off hitter hangs an “oh fer” on you, chances are your winning percentage is those games will be considerably lower. It doesn’t matter if that lead off hitter is Betts or anybody else.

Kimbrel’s pitches are grabbing a lot of plate lately. Not sure he is mechanical right at this time.

Watching my Vazquez and Leon contribute minimal offense game in and game out is so frustrating. Swihart’s timing is off due to lack of regular at bats. But I think he can hit. So we need to put him behind the plate for a few games and if he hits, we send Leon to the twins.

Benintendi has a really tight swing, it really is just a matter of time until he is a .290 plus hitter.

Desperate dave should probably draft by throwing darts at a dart board. Because what he is doing now is beyond putrid! Ps: if houck ever learns to throw strikes, he could be our future closer. But the more realistic scenario is we cut him in a few years and Tampa claims him and he because an all star closer for them!

We don’t need to trade for another reliever, we have the bodies to have a really good bullpen now. Beeks needs to replace Johnson. In nine days we can bring back Velasquez. Maybe Maddox rehabs and is good to go by July.

Nunez is giving us next to nothing defensively with that bad leg. When pedroia is healthy, Nunez needs some dl time so the can determine if he needs surgery or not.
