  1. If we could not get Lombard, then I am glad it is Cora!
  2. Downs is the key to who plays second base for next season. If downs is one year away, we can sign schoop on a one year deal. If downs is two years away, we can sign wong on a two year deal.
  3. I still like Quintana and Lester to fill two rotation holes,
  4. What exactly is hang’em Chaim and the crackheads in the baseball analytics department doing to prepare for free agency and the rule 5 draft? Or are they trying to anticipate cashman’s next move?
  5. I am a bit shocked by this move. I felt it was a sure thing we would pick up his option, Maybe hang’em Chaim has some other plan for our rotation, Quintana and Lester maybe?
  6. Yes Indeed! Plus I think he got a player in yorke via the draft. Although at least 4 development years away.
  7. Hopefully Luis gets a chance with some other team.
  8. Cardinals are letting wong go. He could solve our hole at 2nd base.
  9. Still hope hang’em Chaim sees the light and interviews Lombard,
  10. Hope Chicago stores stock lots of depends diapers for Larussa, I am so glad he and desperate Dave are long gone from Fenway!
  11. Have the winter meetings been canceled? With virus cases back on the upswing, is it wise to keep them?
  12. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Phillip has reached the absolute bottom of the barrel. Once they hire valentine to manage the team, they are officially a complete disaster!
  13. Very odd that hang’em Chaim has not interviewed Kotsay yet! I thought he would be high on the list of candidates.
  14. Ruth, along with almost 2/3rds of the great red six teams of the late 1910’s, were sold to New York so the Red Sox owner could finance a financially rewarding Broadway play. There is no parallel between then and now, But there could be on one very important scale if hang’em Chaim can not win in the years to come!
  15. Nothing hang’em Chaim has done to date says we should trust him implicitly. He has not won squat, as a matter of fact, just the opposite! And while he has made some small steps in the right direction, to think that he has the ship turned around, is pure speculation! This offseason, with a few strategic acquisitions, we could be a playoff tram again, at that point he will have coins deposited in the trust bank with me.
  16. In a few more days, hang’em Chaim will get to interview Lombard.
  17. If hang’em Chaim is successful in building us back up the correct and sustainable way, we will all be saying “betts who?? “ in a couple years when the little guy Betts eventually breaks down and resembles Pedroia for the last half of his contract.
  18. Did we get extend Benintendi for 2 years at 3.3 million the first year and 6.6 million in year 2?
  19. In the 40’s (I think) the cardinals used a pitch hit midget so he would get a walk.
  20. If only we had a center fielder as good as Margot..... oh wait! Thanks desperate Dave!
  21. Does signing free agent pitcher jose Quintana make sense for us? He was not great with the Cubs, but how would he do back in the American League? Lester and Quintana would not break the bank, and could round out our rotation.
