  1. Unless you are prepared to empty your BP after 4-5 innings Houck is not a SP. the only hope I see for the Sox is to somehow get Yamamoto and if they do then get either Snell or Nola. Otherwise forget it and let Bloom keep drafting HS Ss’s
  2. 4 more years of this clown
  3. at a wasted cost of 2.2 million there sure was
  4. how much $$$ are we in for on Mondesi who didn't play an inning for us?
  5. I disagreed about the trades too
  6. all forgiven
  7. I think I was pretty clear that the ONLY thing I didnt agree with was that Bloom has lost 95% of his trades. I CLEARLY stated I feel he won about 40% of his trades. Several of the trades you posted were insignificant and it is not worth judging those. Everything else in that post I agreed with. Is that clear enough?? Perhaps you would like to re-read my post.
  8. Not likely. NYY Have reserved that spot.
  9. Casas is the REAL deal. He stays at 1B. Hell we have given Devers 5-6 years to learn 3B so we can give Casas some time to work on his D.
  10. this game is not over yet Splinter
  11. I never said I agreed with all of those points. I'd say Bloom is about 40% on his trades but I certainly agree with #'s 1,3,4,5,6.
  12. this does sound promising
  13. or simply not signed James Paxton
  14. This was posted on X today and I am posting it word by word: The Chaim Bloom plan: !} Sign the worst starting pitching imaginable 2}Lose 95% of all trades made 3} Historically undersvalue defence. 4}Draft one or two decent prospects every summer 5} But never Pitching 6} Set the bar at the third wild card 7} Wait 5-6 years 8} Get destroyed by the Bastards of Boston podcast on a nightly basis
  15. sadly you are probably right about both but read my next post.
  16. Excellent post Moonslav!!
  17. was just responding to the impression the other poster gave
  18. I am pretty sure they will after 1 big SP too--likely Yamamoto
  19. And the Yankees too. Don't forget them. After the year they have had you know they are going to be active this offseason.
  20. Are you saying that after 4 years of the Bloom regime we don't have any prospects he brought in that are now AA or above?
  21. I don't know the answer to the last question but I'm not sold on Crawford at least as a SP and as for Houck and especially Whitlock if they could stay off the DL we would have a better idea. Both should be relievers IMO
  22. i don't think we are that far apart on our views but I think it is a stretch to go back to the Schilling, Pedro, etc days. And who is to say that Bello doesn't turn out better than some you mention. i think he will. So does Pedro who should be our PC and Varietk our manager.
  23. you are bang on with your first sentence. Bloom was supposed to fix that. The days of 200 inning starters is quickly going away. Bello is still getting better and has made big strides this year.
  24. We will never have top D as long as Devers stays at 3B
