  1. i think Devers is pouting because he lost his 3B spot
  2. Casas is still young. I wish the Sox would deal Story for a solid C or C prospect and promote Mayer.
  3. it is about time but I agree there much more focus on with this regime.
  4. i believe that is 4 errors for Bregman already this year? Is he really an upgrade over Devers at this point defensively?
  5. i think this is a great deal for both sides
  6. this is the first in several years I have been looking forward to a Red Sox season as I believe the Sox should be AL East favourites but if this team lets Crochet leave after 2 years i will never again be a Red Sox fan. the longer this goes on the higher the price goes.
  7. Whatever it takes. This a 25 yr old stud and right now maybe the best SP in MLB. If the Sox let him get away it will be worse than Babe Ruth trust me.
  8. For sure- Crochet is a stud. Sox HAVE to extend him at whatever it costs.
  9. i would go as high as 30-32 million per on a 5-6 yr deal. that would protect us somewhat and also allow Crochet to become a FA at 31 or 32.
  10. All I know is that the Sox better lock up Crochet RIGHT NOW. He may well be the BEST SP in all of MLB right now. There is always a risk but he will cost much more if we wait till he hits FA at only 27 if he continues the way he is pitching right now. I have no issue with a 150-175 million 5-6 yr deal. He is worth it. He will give us a chance to win every time he takes the ball. I like the 2025 Red Sox and expect them to win the AL East this year
  11. correct me if I'm wrong but based on ST to date Campbell does not look ready
  12. I could easily see them delaying Campbell's arrival to gain the extra year of control and that's probably not a bad thing. Devers can start at 3B and Bregman moves to 2B until Campbell comes up and then Bregman opts out after the season.
  13. i agree that this depends on how Campbell fares in ST. If he looks ready then he will likely start at 2B and Devers becomes the DH. Otherwise Bregman goes in at 2B and we suffer with Devers { I have a glove for no apparent reason} at 3B
  14. Sadly i have a been a pretty big critic for a few years now but this offseason has been a success and I am excited for the season to start. i think Bregman is going to mash at Fenway.
  15. I like the signing and think overall it was a successful offseason. Actually looking forward to the season for the first time in several years. Now just get Crochet extended.
  16. we have ZERO need for Stroman . I would rather go with Crawford. The only need I see at this point would be a sure fire closer. I don't trust Chapman. I am feeling the best I have felt about the Sox in several years.
  17. I don't want Casas traded. I still think he is going to a stud power hitting threat.. There should be enough AB's b between 3B, 1B, and DH for all 3. Dever hits 3rd, followed by Bregman, Casas, and Story makes for a deep line-up behind Duran leading off. Just need to move Yoshida [thanks Bloom} somehow.
  18. kennedy just needs to shut the heck up. everything he says is full of poop
  19. NYY are shopping Stroman. Is he not a guy u wanted the Sox to sign last offseason?
  20. watch for us to include another of our top 3 prospects and ask STL to pick up some of the contract
  21. the Sox traded Sale to cut payroll and FOR NO OTHER REASON. They sugarcoated the trade by making an attempt to fill a position that has been a black hole since Pedroia. To date the trade has been a DISMAL FAILURE but Grissom will get the first chance in ST to show he doesn't stink like he did last year.
