  1. gotta love a guy that stands there and watches strike 3 whiz by.
  2. i have a mac and i have zero problems with this website. none. and, if you use a Brave browser like i do, you don't even have to see the ads.
  3. the Sox are 23rd in avg., 22nd in HR (with 3, LOL) and 24th in OPS. i'm sure the Yankees think he's doing a helluva job.
  4. well....he's done a helluva job teaching them how to strike out.
  5. didn't the Sox hire a hitting coach the Yankees fired last year? if so, i blame all the poor at bats and hitting on him.
  6. yeah....Raffy looks like me up there wailing away. not good.
  7. unless your last names is Devers. then he's fine with it, no matter how bad you suck at your position.
  8. he's useless. essentially, he's a cheaper version of Yoshida.
  9. IKR? what the hell were the Sox thinking when they traded for this guy? the Sale trade just looks worse and worse all the time.
  10. what about Tommy Walker, the pinball wizard? he was "blind, deaf and mute" but did alright.
  11. gawd dawg.....just DFA him rather than give away the farm.
  12. Alcantara is a good pitcher but there is no way in hell i'm doing the Anthony deal you propose.
  13. i get what you're saying now. and i'm all for ALL of the calls being done by ABS. with that said, it's not a large percentage of calls that are missed by the umps. and if a kid thinks he's right, then he has the right to challenge. it's a great tool. like i said, i've seen a lot of AAA (where it's used) and AA (where it isn't) and i am fully in favor of it, even if it's a limited number of challenges. and i KNOW the players are in favor of it.
  14. they'd still have to call plays at the plate when a runner is trying to score, but yeah, pretty easy up to that.
  15. that would be fine with me.
  16. have any of you people even seen this in action? i've seen a number of AAA games where ABS was used and the amount of time it takes to review a call is insignificant -in fact, it's almost instantaneous. and it is nothing life the NFL if that's what you're thinking. i think it's great for the game and should be used throughout MLB and the minors. Joe West and Angel Hernandez aside, most MLB umps are really good. AAA umps not as good and AA umps can downright horrible. do you have any idea what this does to a kids psyche? i've seen pitcher and hitters confidence completely shattered by inconsistent strike zones. the ABS will allow more consistency throughout all of baseball. i can't wait.
  17. yep....these kind of things always work themselves out. and, frankly, it's nice for a change to see us have more players than positions available rather than the other way around.
  18. heckuva lineup. and it makes so much sense, it'll probably never happen.
  19. he's always been at third and feels comfortable there. but yeah, maybe he'll see it some day.
  20. agreed. some people are born to follow and some are born to lead. nothing wrong with either. i think Raffy is a follower and though he might not like it. he will do what is asked of him,
  21. there may have been something lost in translation, but if Raffy really meant what was reported, i find this very disappointing. and i can't help but think of Mookie being all too happy to play 2nd or SS or wherever last year for the Dodgers -wanting to do whatever it took to help the team win.
  22. that's the way i see it. if they got rid of him and ALL of his salary today, i'd be very surprised if they spent the money elsewhere.
  23. possible, but does anyone really think Bregman would opt out after this year?
