  1. my thinking is fine. it's Breslow and Henry who are -or were- thinking irrationally. trading him for his actions or whatever is one thing, but trading him for someone else's trash is another.
  2. Hicks was a salary dump by the Giants. he's DFA material. only an idiot like Breslow would think he's worth having.
  3. not exactly. Henry has to pay, what, $25-30 million for Hicks. what a f***ing shitshow. Betts, Sale and Devers for... Wong, Downs, Verdugo, Hicks, Harrison, Bello, Tibbs and Grissom. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.
  4. then you're in the very tiny minority. most everyone, including many GMs, think Henry/Breslow got screwed.
  5. on broken-down, rehabbing, washed-up has beens. you know that's where it'll go.
  6. there are no good guys in this show. Devers was/is a lazy, selfish POS and Henry/Breslow showed his arrogance/idiocy when he got absolutely f***ed in the trade.
  7. Hicks has a negative bWAR of -0.9. he's 1-6 with a 6.47 era. LOL...the more i look at this trade, the more i see the Red Sox got royally f***ed.
  8. if so, then Cora is a worse manager than i thought. Raffy has been awful at third for years. Cora should have had him working out at 1B -at least in spring training- years ago. as far as the trade....i'm not pissed he was traded. he was a selfish POS and i don't blame the Sox for trading him. however, they got absolutely f***ed in the trade. they got f***ed in the Mookie trade. they got f***ed in the Sale trade. they have literally traded 3 future hall of famers for a steaming pile of s***.
  9. i won't disagree with that. i wish he was used more. i hate seeing Cora burn him for 4 pitches and then bitch about how he doesn't have anyone available in the pen the next day. furthemore, i just said that Cora "finally" used him for more than 1 inning and Moon said "finally" wasn't an apt description. he then pointed out that he had only been used for more than 1 inning in 3 of his last 12 appearances, thereby proving my point.
  10. at what point is he available the next day or not? less than 10 he's available the next day? where is the line?
  11. over 1 IP in 3 of his last 15 games isn't that much. that means in 12 of his last 15 games, he was burned for one or two batters.
  12. i like that Cora finally left him for more than 4 pitches and 1/3 of an inning for once. so often, he wastes him for one batter.
  13. LOL...he did end up being a ghost runner. you must have ESPn or something.
  14. i'm fine with that too, but knowing Cora and his L-R obsession, he'd pinch hit for Ted Williams if there was a lefty on the mound.
  15. i still can't believe the morons in the Sox front office traded pitching (Quinn Priester) for a low-level minor league outfielder (just what we need!). Yophery is currnetly hitting .193 while Priester has a .7 WAR on 61.2 innings pitched. his WAR would be 3rd on the Sox staff and his IP would be 2nd. good gawd. the Brewers once again take advantage of an inept Sox front office. then again, these are the same morons that traded Sale for a bag of balls. just unreal.
  16. yet he's been sucking this year while Narvaez has been tearing it up. so...of course Cora uses the guy that stinks. makes no sense.
  17. can't be the lefty-righty thing because Hamilton (.190) hits 101 points worse against righties than Narvaez (.291). it was just Cora being a little league manager. there's no other explanation because there is no way in hell Hamilton should have hit for Narvaez.
  18. yet Cora chose to have David Hamilton (and his killer .218 OBP) to pinch hit for Wong the other night instead of Narvaez -who was going into the game anyway.
  19. i sure hope Story has finally figured something out and keeps it going. Narvaez and Toro have me forget all about forgettable players like Casas and Wong. what is the timeline on Bregman's return? any idea?
