    not to mention the recent great pitching by our starters, Chapman being Chapman and Breggie coming back. i really, really hope they extend/resign him whatever. an 8 game winning streak (and 10 of 11) sure brings out the optimism.

    credit where credit is due: Breslow did a nice job of getting Crochet, Bregman, Chapman and Varvaez though I think the jury is still out on Dobbins. Bloom did good with Abreu, Mayer, Whitlock, Ref and Roman Anthony though his signings of Story and Yoshida have been wide regarded as awful. though Story seems to possibly be on the road to redemption. and Masa may be as well. time will tell. and just to be clear, Duran, Rafaela, and Bello were signed by Dombrowski.

    he was/is a selfish, me-first POS and i don't blame them for trading him. i just wish they had gotten something for him. outside of the occasional blind squirrel/acorn deal like Narvaez, the Sox FO is really really bad at making trades.

    i get it, but DD never really traded anyone that amounted to anything. and fans still give him a hard time about "decimating the farm", when in reality, he should have been slammed for not "building the farm".

    i would rather they try to sign Chapman for another year. trading him means giving up on this season. again.

    nice to see Walker bounce back after so many awful starts. this has got to help his confidence a ton. they are awful on defense but i'd start Romy at second all day, every day over Hamilton. Hamilton might be a little better on D but he flat out sucks at the plate.
