  1. Not necessarily. He probably won’t stay in Boston his whole contract.
  2. RAF Man most likely isn’t going to hit as well as Duran, Abreu, and Anthony, but IMO he doesn’t have to.
  3. I get what you are saying 100%. If things follow suit Sox fans better enjoy the Mayer’s, and Anthony while they are young, and somewhat affordable, because they most likely will be gone when they can become FA.
  4. You’ve made this statement several times already, so good for you.
  5. I agree if you are halfassing it, but as I said at the time you didn’t have to, and shouldn’t have.
  6. What do you think the players, and Cora wanted to do? Fire Sale? No way, and as this was brought up then as it is now not trying to win is a LOSERS Attitude. Not trying to win then you might as well not play.
  7. It doesn’t matter as much though with the Con Man who’s on a shorter contract.
  8. I agree, and I like to think of it of Breslow being a settler who settled. It may all work out in the end though.
  9. I agree. Better player vs better value. Sometimes you have to take the better player even if it hurts a little.
  10. That’s the point TC was getting at. Injuries have held him back big time, and at the very least he’s still a platoon player.
  11. As Sam said it’s hypothetically. Seeing Sam’s facial expression during the recent interview said it all.
  12. Heard an interview with TC this morning from the Fort. He said Mayer’s can go anywhere from being the starting 2B to being sent to Woo, and trying to work his way back up to Boston. TC said this is a big ST for Mayer’s, because he hasn’t proven anything yet, and especially being able to stay on the field.
  13. Sam’s comments got a lot of play on the talk shows yesterday. Not to favorably to Sam, but what’s new? As one said after hearing Sam’s comments from last Sept that Alex wanted to stay in Boston, and the Red Sox wanted the same, and now after that didn’t happen the Red Sox are trying to convince the fans that what the Red Sox ended up with was the plan all along.
  14. He hasn’t played much the past two years, so he got a lot of catching up to do.
  15. I’ll be surprised if Casas shows flashes in Woo let alone Boston.
  16. Fine. Just keep it that way. No need to move either around outside an injury. Cora just announce it, and move on.
  17. Sam just has a way with words just like he did when he said Boston is the place where everyone wants to be before he hired Breslow #12. JH has his way with words,TW has a way with words, and Breslow has a way with words. Imagine when they are all in the same meeting.🤭
  18. I know all about strong rotations, and run prevention especially in the postseason since I started following baseball. Sandy, and Don, Gibby, Palmer, Mickey LO, and McLain, but I don’t see the Red Sox having an elite staff as I heard on here.
  19. I can disagree with me?🤔
  20. You can Pooh Pooh HR all you want, but it doesn’t change anything rocket science, or not.
  21. Yes, and HR leads to those more runs.
  22. Yes Bres did acknowledge that HR help teams win postseason games. 35-5 is a pretty good record that shows that. I’m sure Bres had good intentions to get some HR, but those good intentions didn’t lead to anything of the sort. Yes the Durbin trade was good for what it was, and yes Cora is all positives, but I bet he’d be more postive with at least a Bregman by his side.
  23. Gray’s money? I f you wanted to spend money on a bat you could have spent Ranger’s money on that. You only had Ranger money to spend, because they didn’t spend it on Bregman.
