  1. Sounds like lots of cheering in the Trop.
  2. True on the stats, but like I said what I saw Sun was all I needed to see. I like Sale, and I know he’s giving it all he’s got, and it’s probably killing him that his results the last two games were as bad as they was. Hopefully he can come back next year, and at least be a serviceable pitcher.
  3. Houck is doing his job, and the big question is how much longer can he go.
  4. Good info I hadn’t heard that.
  5. Houck definitely has the stuff, but he has to be more consistent.
  6. If Pivetta had been scheduled to start game 2 I suppose Richards would have gone longer than 1 batter last night. I know rest makes a difference for a starter, but except for rare occasions pitchers don’t throw as many pitchers anymore. I think Sale got the start more for his name than anything else.
  7. Yes I was, and like I said short rest, or long rest would not make any difference right now. I saw all I needed to see on Sun, and that’s why I said I would have started Pivetta game 2.
  8. I understand what you meant, but my point was that Sale would not start at all. Short rest, long rest, or any rest I don’t think would make a difference with Sale right now.
  9. I didn’t say Pivetta would be that good, but just a better option than Sale. It’s not like they had all kinds of good options.
  10. I said after the Yankee game that I would have started Pivetta in game 2, and everyone said no.
  11. Even when healthy he usually wore down as the season went along.
  12. 2 is better than nothing, but should have gotten more.
  13. His swing doesn’t look right.
  14. Hopefully we can at least get through 1 inning, before the doom, and gloom starts. Sale has to set the tone, and hopefully he will. We should know early on.
  15. Agree 100%
  16. I liked him better than OB.
  17. If we are going to extend him then we’d better do it after this season, because the longer you wait the more expensive it will get. I do not like 10 yr, or more contracts worth 300 million+, and i wouldn’t do it for anybody, so if you can get something shorter then do it, or otherwise trade him. The Yankees have 2 $300+ million contracts, and Judge coming up I believe after next year, and they haven’t won anything. Those big contracts to me just aren’t worth it.
  18. Curt Gowdy with Ned Martin were good.
  19. How many more years does Devers have before he can become a FA?
  20. I think Bogey called the shots last time, because he likes Boston unlike Betts, and wanted to stay unlike Betts. It’s just a question now if he still wants to stay. If he doesn’t then trade him after the season.
  21. Why do you keep assuming that Bogey will be gone?
  22. What’s the confidence with Sale pitching?
  23. It was either play the OF, or not play at all in that NL park.
  24. True. He got it by default.
  25. I still don’t get why Richards came in at all.
