  1. I’m just an old school guy, who goes by old school stats.
  2. Ok, but I wasn’t talking about just people on here, but sports in general. I don’t care for any kind of analytics, and never will. I know I’m in the minority on that, and that’s the way the sports world is today, but just my opinion.
  3. I’m not out for any kind of argument, but would be just curious to see what other people think.
  4. Moon I wasn’t responding to you on this.
  5. Like I said you are the only one I heard say that about Kike. We need to get others on here who have 50+ years watching the Red Sox, and see if they agree with you that Kike is the best defensive CF the Sox have ever had.
  6. I could care less about all the analytics that you guys throw out there about anybody. Player, or position. All I said was that the Sox could do better than Kike as the CF for the next 4-5 years. What does JBJ have to do with the next 4-5 years?
  7. Let’s pump the brakes again on Kike. He did a good job last year, and when he was hot he was hot, but only averaged 250 last year, and is a career 242 hitter. Next 4-5 years as the starting CF? No, and the Sox can do better than that, and NO he’s not the best CF the Red Sox ever had like Moon claims he is, so pump the brakes them pump them again.
  8. If they are going to sign anyone to expensive deals it will be Bogey, and Raffy, and if not it won’t be for anybody right now.
  9. If you sign any of these guys, and don’t trade Bogey then where is all the money coming from to add pitching?
  10. I don’t think Bogey will be following the same road as Betts, and get traded, and I also don’t think Baez will get signed.
  11. I know that, so they should have asked for a different pitcher.
  12. Well we always need pitching, and that is why we should have gotten some back in the Betts deal.
  13. Who are we trading these guys for?
  14. Duran is not going to get you very much.
  15. We’re about the same amount as I would have the extension kick in after next year, so counting that it would be $145M/6. Anything more than that would be see you later.
  16. How about $125M/5??
  17. They can talk all they want to, but unless Bogey gets traded I don’t see it happening.
  18. Who are we trading?
  19. I’m just saying what we need the most. How we get it is another story.
  20. Remember. Pitching, pitching, and more pitching.
  21. I’m just responding to you that I didn’t think $100M/5 would be a big deal not if the Sox would do it, or not.
  22. That’s what I’ve been saying.
  23. No $ 100M/5 would not be big to me. A Sale type, or bigger to me would be big.
  24. Beckett had worn out his welcome in Boston. Was he part of the chicken, and beer party?
  25. We could have signed E Rod too, but we didn’t. We could have signed Betts, and extend Bogey, and Raffy, but that didn’t, or hasn’t happened either. I’m all for improving RF, and the D, but putting Dalbec in LF like you mentioned earlier, or putting Schwaber anywhere in the field won’t do that either.
