No one said Renfroe was homegrown talent. Bradley a better overall player? Just, because the Brewers were crazy enough to give JBJ the contract they did that I don’t believe the Red Sox would ever have given him does not mean that. No doubt about JBJ’s D, but for the most part can’t hit a lick. Renfroe, and his 96 RBI were a big part of the Red Sox success last year getting to the PS, and would have helped the Red Sox moe this year than JBJ did. Nobody holds trading Mookie against Bloom, but what he got back in the deal just a JAG, and a minor league player in Downs who’s turned out not to be a prospect at all.

If this game would have been at Fenway I wouldn’t have blamed the fans if they would have gotten up, and all walked out. Matter of fact I would have encouraged it.

What’s worse Bloom bringing DHern back up, or Cora putting him in the game when Whitlock had been warming up. I’d say all of the above.

The Red Sox need JD, and Bogey to hit like they did early in the season if they are going to get out of last place. At the moment it doesn’t look like it.

Bloom supposedly according to some on here didn’t have many options in the players he got back in the Mookie deal, so I take it that JBJ must have been the only option in the Renfroe deal? Maybe a different GM would have better options.

Most knowledgeable Red Sox fans knew June was nothing more than a fantasy month, and the real test was coming in July. Seems the Red Sox flunked that test. You bought in, and we’re giving wildcard standings daily, and saying 1 day at a time.

When a team is in last place you don’t have to do much grasping to find things wrong, but on the other hand you probably have to do more grasping to find what’s right. Read the room.

Like I have said many times on here let’s just agree to disagree, buts that’s not good enough for some. Like Rocky said if I can change, and you can change, we all can change.

JBJ made sense for a 4th OF, but not for the money, and I never heard Bloom, or Cora say that was what the plan was. The players were not to blame for trying to play other positions, but Bloom took way to long to try, and fix things. 100 games was way to long a sample size.

If it was a guarantee that all three would turn into a Super Star then you bet, but that is a big if, and you already know what you have in Raffy. Hype, and performance are two different things.
