  1. Agree with most, but Rice had quite a stretch at the end of the 70’s. He didn’t play great D, but his bat more than matched Mookie, or Nomar.
  2. Then I guess Houck, and Sale would stay home.
  3. If that’s the case he’s off the hook, but if that’s not the case he gets the hook.
  4. Or on the other hand was fairly painted.
  5. 5-5 to start the season with 7 of those games against Det, and Minn. Starts getting tougher tomorrow with lots of Div games coming up, and a long road trip that we’ll have to wait, and see who can, and who cannot play in Toronto.
  6. 2 staff members of the Red Sox tested positive too, so it’s just the start of things to come.
  7. Maybe it’s his brother.
  8. Pulling Valdez was a head scratcher.
  9. SOUR MAN to the rescue.
  10. Way to late taking Crawford out in what was a 2 run game.
  11. Well said.
  12. Kike 5 game hitting streak great. 167. BA not so great.
  13. He almost made 5, and saved the pen some.
  14. He’s up. Just out to lunch.
  15. Who’s the long guy now?
  16. Now we wait to see if there is a run of more players coming down with Covid. You definitely don’t want to get it while in Toronto, or you’ll be there awhile.
  17. The report I read said multiple players won’t be making the trip to Toronto, so who, and how many does that mean?
  18. Your right that Normar was a sulker, and did it during games. That one shot of him in the Yankee Stadium dugout sitting alone when the rest of the team was standing was perfect Nomar. You don’t see Bogey doing that. Bogey is the team leader, and to professional for that.
  19. Exactly. Two entirely different situations outside of the contract. The contract is not the only thing.
  20. Some players have a shelf life in Boston, and Normar was at that point. I remember Nomar sitting in the dugout in Yankee Stadium sulking while Jeter was diving into the stands headfirst going after a foul ball. Bogey, and Nomar is nowhere near a good comparison, and Bogey has plenty of shelf life left.
  21. The way everyone is talking it sounds like everyone is expecting the Red Sox to be out of playoff contention, so might as well trade everyone. Well if that’s the case then let’s do it right, and trade Raffy too. 9 games into the season, and all the trade talk already. WOW! And then of course everyone is just assuming Bogey will wave his NO TRADE. That is a lot of assumptions. Once again Wow! Glad the Celtics are on, because there ain’t no sense watching this team anymore.
  22. I thought the Bogey contract talk on the bullpen thread had dried up yesterday, but wow it started up again. The only thing I want to add is that no one knows what JH is thinking, or Bloom is thinking, or what Bogey, and Boris is thinking. Everything on here is speculation, and opinions by everybody. I do wonder though why people on here wonder why Bogey would not consider himself a SS, and he’s just reciting a line from Boris saying so. I believe Bogey saying he’s a SS is all coming from Bogey himself, because that’s the way he feels about himself, and has nothing to do with Boris. Once again my opinion, and speculation on my part.
  23. That’s the way it looks at the moment unless someone can take it over.
  24. I thought Houck was going to go 6 today, but didn’t quite make it. Good point about Whit giving the pen for the most part the day off. The only problem with Whit going long is that the Sox don’t have a reliable closer at the moment that could be a problem going forward.
