  1. I actually like Bobby D, and I wished he was more like his second half of last year.
  2. In all seriousness that was a mis click that I didn’t catch the 1st, or 2nd time.I wondered why you said rude.
  3. Now we are back to name calling(Indecisive Bum)? Wow! Bloom, and some on here think all minor leaguers are good prospects, but they are not. Hammered yes, but that’s what he gets paid the big bucks for. The fire sale talk started on here before the season even started. I’m on the opinion as long as you are still in the post season hunt you still go for it, and not just piss the season away, and quit like some on here wanted to do, and sell off all expiring contracts. This year there is still a chance to me, and just because there is lots of money coming off the books after this year doesn’t mean 2023, and beyond will yield any kind of success like some seem to think on here. Especially with Bloom at the helm. Bloom has had 3 years to work on all this expiring contract mess, and did nothing. If the state of the Sox wasn’t so bad at the moment there wouldn’t be so much to be hammered about, but it is, and Bloom is in charge.
  4. I think everyone is well aware that JH doesn’t give Bloom much of an allowance, but the same mentioned plan of Booby D, and Casas wasn’t the problem, but it was not fixing it when it didn’t work out.
  5. Chris Gasper.
  6. Brisket Gasper described Bloom best yesterday when it came to the trade deadline. Bloom is like a guy who came to a fork in the road (buy, or sell), and couldn’t decide which one to do, so he looked for a 3rd option. In other words not very decisive, and not the kind of guy you would want as your Chief of Baseball Opps running the Red Sox. If the glove fits you must convict.
  7. I love it when a plan comes together. Just for clarification.
  8. If it makes you feel better we’ll go with your story. Oh yea I remember now Bloom said he was in discussions with other teams about Vic Wertz, or was it Pete Runnels, or was it Dick Stuart? No I remember now it was George Scott. You were right all along.
  9. Where does it say he was? I heard an interview.
  10. How much you willing to pay him, and Correa?
  11. Like MF says that the Nerds, and clones run the Red Sox.
  12. Aren’t they one of the same?
  13. I think you are just over analyzing this, and they just made Dugy the full time LF, and didn’t want to move him, and not , because he couldn’t play CF, or RF. It’s not that big a deal to anyone else.
  14. You have kept thinking that both Kike, and Bobby D were going to have comebacks like they did last year, and to keep talking about the plan going into the season at 1B has nothing to do with it. The problem all along it took Bloom way to long to do something. A big difference between this year, and last year too was the Red Sox got off to a lot better start last year, and could afford to wait on someone getting hot.
  15. Kike, and JBJ starting the season couldn’t swing a bat between them.
  16. With this we agree.
  17. Good point, and I made the Little League comment several times, on misjudgment of balls hit into the air, and balls thrown around the IF.
  18. Not having played Dugy in RF I believe all had to do with JBJ being that much better, or even the REf Man for that matter. Of course that doesn’t explain what to hell Arroyo was doing out there, or Franchy. You have been on this Dugy is only a LF, but I haven’t heard anyone from the Red Sox say that. Duran is a bad OF no matter where you play him.
  19. To me the whole thing with Bloom at the trade deadline is he went half ass. If he did think the team had a shot at the post season he traded his starting catcher for a backup. How many GM’s around the league do you think would have made the trade? He got an OF, which was needed, but a CF/RF would have made more sense. On the other hand if Bloom thought the rest of the season wasn’t worth going for it, and just piss it away, and trade off the rest of the expiring contracts he didn’t do that either, but JH might have had something to do with that, because he doesn’t want the NESN ratings, and the actual attendance at Fenway get any lower.
  20. I saw an actual interview, but this will do.
  21. I think you sum it up pretty well. Bloom didn’t really make the trade the trade found him.
  22. The problem was Duran wasn’t good enough, and I haven’t heard anyone else say that Dugy can’t play RF. He’s no Dewey, or Mookie out there, but I think more than adequate.
  23. I heard him interviewed.
  24. And traded who to get them?
