  1. Just because someone is cheap you don’t try them in the toughest RF in baseball. He did have a position after signing Story of being the backup IF. Just like Franchy is not a 1B, and neither was Schwaber. That’s just Bloom, and Cora trying those spaghetti moves.
  2. Renfroe wasn’t good enough out there, and Duran isn’t either, but I think both are better options than Arroyo. Arroyo is not an OF, and especially trying to play RF in Fenway is not even an idea that should have been tried in the first place.
  3. He was throwing hard in the BP too.
  4. Story does cover a lot of ground out there, and is more like a short fielder in softball.
  5. John Henry get your checkbook out now, because Raffy value is only going to go up, and up.
  6. Myers’s contract is still running at $20M, so I agree it wouldn’t have been a fit, and not just the money part.
  7. Arroyo in RF tonight, which I don’t like at all especially in Fenway. Just because he is a RHH he’s not hitting much of anything.
  8. Is the attendance figures tickets sold, or what actually comes through the gate?
  9. Anything discussed on Price?
  10. I don’t know what else was out there for a return for Mookie, and neither do you know that the Dodgers were the only one interested. I do not hold the position that Bloom must sign Bogey, but I would like that to happen. If a fair offer is presented like to me would be 6/150 to 6/ 180, and Bogey turns it down then thanks for all you’ve done, and bye bye. I do blame Bloom for that insulting offer he made before though. If Bogey turns down a good offer it’s on him.
  11. I never blamed Bloom for trading Mookie, or having to work with a checking account not as big as DD, or Theo.
  12. Moon you keep on saying the same things over, and over, but what you just can’t accept is some disagree with you. The more, and longer you write does not make you anymore right.
  13. My opinion is DD would have gone higher if it was up to him.
  14. And because John Henry wouldn’t let him to go as high as he wanted to go.
  15. Agree that, and the Bobby V year was a year to forget.
  16. Remember JD lost his binky iPad in 2020, and couldn’t hit without it, which didn’t help either.
  17. I think to some, because it has been brought up over, and over that almost getting to the WS last year was good enough.
  18. Bloom was told to trade Mookie, and later on hire back Cora, but while 2020 was a total CF the roster it self was not a total mess.it turned out bad, because of the bad resigning of Sale, and ERod being out, but JD, Bogey, Raffy, and Vaz plus adding Dugy was some talent. Not a total mess.
  19. I don’t think Suzuki was ever in the picture. He never even met with the Red Sox, and when Bloom made the comment of needing a RHH for the OF Suzuki had already signed with the Cubs.
  20. 3 game series tin Toronto the end of this month, which means no Houck again unless he got, or gets vaxed, or Canda has changed the rules.
  21. Missed the last 4 innings, but saw a great 5 innings by the Kut Man, and glad to see the Houckster get another save. Great job by the pen all the way around, and a good end to a great road trip.
  22. Moon, which publication didn’t give the Red Sox a grade, but just said the Red Sox were losers in the deal, and said both the Dodgers, and Twins were winners. Look it up.
  23. Remember the Red Sox only made the postseason by 1 game last year, so everyone counts, and last night is just the latest example. Just listening to Cora on the pregame talking about last night he still doesn’t have a clue on what to do. Once again I agree with you that Tony Mass is right.
  24. Do some Home Work instead of relying on others. That’s lazy, and you’re better than that.
  25. You mean try to keep up when you didn’t know who the starter is today, or why Houck didn’t close last night, or the rules of players sent down, and the time between they could be called back up. That’s what you call keeping up? That’s just in the last few days. Practice what you preach.
