  1. I get the team control, but the amount it would take to resign him would be way over what the Red Sox, or JH would want to spend.
  2. I don’t see Masa getting released, and he definitely is NO 1B candidate.
  3. Skubal is a lot more established than Crochet was. Throw in Anthony, and then get a new Red Sox owner to pay for Skubal, because JH wouldn’t even think about.
  4. As I’ve stated before I think the Red Sox will fill in from within as much as they can. It’s a lot cheaper too.
  5. Like the Yankees?🤫
  6. You shouted at the top of your lungs Devers Forevers 1000 times over. 🙈 I’ll take Bogey, and Raffy.
  7. I don’t think the Red Sox ever planned on resigning Bogey anyway, and thus the weak extension offer, and they got Story at a cheaper option anyway. If the Red Sox had acted sooner on Bogey before he opted out they might have gotten him at not much more than they signed Story for.
  8. Yes Great for Bogey, but what Chaim gets blamed for was just offering to tack on 1 year to the contract Bogey already had.
  9. After he foolishly thought he still had a shot at resigning Bogey.🙈
  10. The Red Sox got to worry about slaying the Yankees, or Toronto first. The Yankees will especially get better, and Cole will be back at some point.
  11. Agree 100%. Toronto could just of easily won too.
  12. JH even said goodbye to Lester out in the parking lot after he lowballed him.
  13. I’m in the I’ll believe it when I see it mode. Raffy was a special case being homegrown, and the last man standing after Bogey, and Mookie left, and even then they probably had to pry JH hands off his checkbook.
  14. Yes the $200M, and only 8 years at the time would have been a good deal both in money, and length.
  15. The $300M was at the end. What about before that when Mookie, and his mother said no? Didn’t Mookie go to arbitration at one time? The Red Sox haggled with Mookie all the way through. Was that all JH?
  16. The ND game was even closer than the final score, but BC through the years has given ND fits at times. Not a great showing, but ND should move up a couple slots.
  17. Yes it’s always Henry, but DD is not completely blameless in the Mookie saga IMO either.
  18. The Red Sox were always a day late, and a dollar short, and that was under DD.
  19. Mookie wasn’t much help in this years WS, but the Dodgers won, and Mookie won ring #4. 3 rings in six years with the Dodgers is not to shabby, and I hope he wins another 3, or 4. CONGRATS to Mookie, and the Dodgers.
  20. The reason I mentioned deals is I believe the Red Sox would like to fill out the positions from within as much as they can.
  21. Devers got 10, but how much arm twisting do you think it took to get JH to do it. As I’ve said many times Raffy was the last man standing after losing Mookie, and Bogey.
  22. I go on the assumption that the Red Sox would like to make the least amount of deals, and spend the least amount of money they possibly can to make the Red Sox a competitive , and winning team kind of like what they’ve done at the trade deadline the past few years. I think they knew Bregman would just be a 1 yr deal, and then they would reevaluate after that, which is where the Red Sox are at now. I’ll have to see it, before I believe anything different.
  23. Do you think DD consults BTV? I don’t believe the Red Sox would have Any interest in Cast Man, and Harper has to much time left on his contract.
  24. I fully understand the wanting to get rid of Hicks, and Masa both in body, and contract, but I just don’t see it happening. That’s all.
