    No! He can’t throw well enough at SS as it is. 2B would be the best fit.

    I have based my opinion all along on the Raffy situation that Cora didn’t want Raffy at 1B, and didn’t think he would be a good 1B, and that is why to my knowledge that Cora never asked Raffy to play 1B, and said he wasn’t going to. If Cora would have told Raffy to play 1B, and Raffy had the same stance as he did with Brez I would have changed my opinion to what most on here have said about Raffy.

    Because they thought that Bogey should move to 2B, because Story who had just signed was a better SS even though I never heard of Cora talk about it.

    Agree 100%, and that’s why i don’t want to see Mayer moved to 3B if Bregman leaves.

    Bogey was called a bad teammate on here too.

    Good one. Story doesn’t have the standing with the club that Raffy had. Story might not like it, but Rico, Hoffman, and Johnny V moved to 3B, and the Rooster moved to 2B.

    One interesting discussion I heard on the airwaves this morning is if Bregman walks he was a one year rental that pushed Raffy out the door, and now you have neither one. Most of the talk was unfavorable to Brez, which is so differently than what’s been mostly said on here. There was not much at fault with Cora either.

    Tough call on Mayer, because of those health issues, but if Bregman leaves Story is the only one left on the IF, and I’d like to see him slide over to 2B.

    Once money gets put back in JH pocket I think it’s hard for him to take it back out.

    When the Red Sox signed Masa after the 2022 season they were hurting for OF. Now they have more than they need.

    He’s still paying Hicks for two more years, so all of Raffy’s contract isn’t being saved. I don’t know what’s out there for a 3B if Bregman leaves, so hopefully some money would get spent there. I wouldn’t put either Mayer, or Story at 3B. I would like to see Mayer at SS, and Story at 2B to start with no matter what, and hope they somewhat can stay healthy.

    I don’t know what Brez is thinking, but I just don’t see him making many moves. of course he traded Sale two off-seasons ago, and traded for Crochet last offseason so something big might happen.

    Didn’t the $40M/yr guy just go back to where he should be. 273 hitter, which is his career average, which he hadn’t seen since 2019. Last year he got off to a bad start, and this year he got off to a good start batting behind Raffy that everyone went ga ga over.

    I can’t see that at all. If Masa is on the team in 2026 he’ll be the DH. I don’t see both Dran, and Abreu being traded, and I don’t see outside of injuries Campbell, and the Password being in the OF at the same time.

    I guess Cora isn’t a Team manager then since he never told Raffy to go to 1B, and said he wasn’t going to.🤫

    That to me is the way to go. I don’t know what’s out there somewhat comparable to Crochet in age, and stuff, but I’d rather have someone like that than someone from the over 30 gang, even if you have to give up some more prospects.

    It would be nice if the Red Sox could replace Duran, or Abreu with a FT RHH OF.

    You could be right, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Cora would have kept Raffy at 3B, and played Bregman at 2B, but Brez said no. At any rate it could have been handled differently and better.

    It was reported that the Red Sox were trying to unload Casas, and Masa to Seattle, but Seattle wouldn’t bite, and Brez didn’t have a plan B until the Raffy situation blew up.

    No he wasn’t traded, and I certainly couldn’t have made a keying error that is now fixed.

    Do you think Brez playing 3B was Brez idea? Cora, or both?

    And that’s why he was traded, and that’s why we will Never know if Raffy’s bat would have made a difference especially in Yankee Stadium in the postseason.

    That was Brez idea, and mostly everyone on here, but Raffy said no, and Cora made it pretty clear he wasn’t going to talk with him about it for more than 1 reason IMO.
