    Bringing Ort back up is just another example that Bloom has no idea what he’s doing, and hasn’t all year with the BP. Might as well bring Hansel back.

    I agree 100% that to go into next season counting on Schreiber to duplicate this year, and to count on Houck as the full time closer would be a mistake. I trust Whitlock more than either one of them, and even then you don’t know if he could close either. I think getting a reliable closer would be the best way to go. Label them anyway you want, but to me they are just part of the BP.

    Anther great 2-4 home stand against the Div Standings update. 4 games under 500. 6 games back in the L column for last place in the Div. 8 games back in the L column for the last Wild Card spot.

    Pivetta said on his post game interview that he hasn’t shown up against div opponents this year. Nobody else has either.

    That booth has gone down hill since Orsillo left, and without the REM Dog pretty much 2nd, or 3rd rate. kind of like the the team.

    I know Schreiber has been good this year, but I Don’t know if you can count on him to do the same thing next year.

    I agree 100% with this, but the key is getting a true closer first, and I don’t see the Red Sox going out, and spending much money to do so.

    It’s not the role being made up, but when is the last time, or at all has the term relief Ace been used on any broadcast, or anywhere else? You keep avoiding, and answering that question. Thanks for asking about my eye test. Came out fine.

    All I have said I Have Never Heard that term before, and I have not. I never said you made it up. When is the last time outside of here you have read, or heard it used? Just asking?

    I have no idea when I heard the word closer, but I do know when I heard the term relief Ace. I’m surprised ECK has never used that, or any other announcers for that matter. Radtz could have been used for any term that has described a relief pitcher. He did everything.

    Everything has to have a label, or a number these days. There used to be either starters, or reliever. You don’t see many good teams without a good closer.

    This all seems to be about nothing. Like I said earlier I have watched thousands of Baseball games, watched Sports Center millions of times, and also the baseball channel just to name a few, and I have never heard the term relief Ace used before until on here. And if there were ever such a thing as a relief Ace Dick Radtz would be it.
