  1. That’s been one of my main points is that the paying customers who go to Fenway shouldn’t have to pay big bucks for any fire sales, rebuilds, or cliffs.
  2. If it wasn’t Bogey going for the batting title I would say I hope he wins the triple crown just to see them have to pay more, and more, and more.
  3. JH graced them with his presence on the show out of the kindness of his heart to help them with ratings. What a guy.
  4. And you are operating on the assumption there is a plan based on what? Your devotion, and trust in Bloom? I haven’t listened to Felger, and Mass for sometime now, but even when I did I didn’t base any opinion on what Mass said just like I don’t on anything you say.
  5. You have to have an idea first, before you can formulate a plan, and I think Bloom is still looking for that first idea thus the looking for the third option at the fork in the road analogy, because if those first offers to Bogey, and Raffy were his plan he’d better come up with a new one, because that certainly didn’t work.
  6. I guess Theo wasn’t available.
  7. As JH said on the Felger, and Mass show Larry Lucchino runs the Red Sox, so he gave the top guy the lift.
  8. Winning, and losing is the only thing that counts in the long run, good plan, or bad plan. I’ve already given my opinion on where a plan should start, and that is Bogey, or Raffy coming, or going, or both. The contract offers both got, before the season even started looks like Bloom looking for his first idea, and it hasn’t come to him yet.
  9. The WL column has this year, and will going forward. I only consider myself a amateur sleuth myself, but I can’t speak for the rest.
  10. And you are going on what evidence that they do?
  11. I realize that, but the big question is do they. If the trade deadline is any indication I’m not so sure. As I have voiced many times I’m not in the Bloom I trust camp, and to me this off season will go a long way in showing if Bloom is a Boy Wonder, or a Boy Blunder.
  12. For someone who’s big on how much money there is to spend, and if JH has to pay any tax, or not it would just seem to me you would have to know how much Bogey, and Raffy would cost, or if anything at all, which would mean more money to spend, or less money to spend, before you could move forward, but maybe that’s just me, and how I would do things. It seems to me at the moment the Red Sox don’t have anymore of a plan now than they did at the trade deadline, and are looking for that 3rd option at the fork in the road.
  13. You dodged the question. Do YOU think the Bogey, and Raffy contracts should be known, and settled by now, and don’t you think it has to be known before you can do anything else going forward?? We already know it hasn’t been done.
  14. Like I’ve been asking right along don’t you think the Raffy, and the Bogey situations should have been known by now? I don’t see how you can plan going forward without it being known.
  15. Raffy will get a raise in Arb anyways.
  16. Even if you were to give both $30M/yr it’s not like you would be paying them each $30M more.
  17. It’s not my intent to pick apart what you say, but you go deeper into things than most, and have more to say, so there is more to look at, and no I’m not saying it’s a bad thing.
  18. Do you think the Red Sox would be worse off if they don’t sign Bogey, and Raffy?
  19. Way to early to tell on Casas, but I don’t think he was ready for the big time. At the moment he’s making JBJ’s bat look good. Hype, and he’s had plenty does not always meet expectations.
  20. If Bloom is thinking like you to 2024, and beyond how come 3 years ago he wasn’t thinking about 2022, and beyond like what to do with Bogey, and Raffy situations, and all the expiring contracts? He certainly hasn’t done much of anything to alleviate the problem, and now you say the Sox have to look to 2024, and beyond. Not much Baseball sense to me.
  21. All of these problems have been coming for a few years now, and Bloom has done nothing to alleviate any of this. Bogey, and Raffy one way of the other should have been worked by now, but it has not. Who has said that if Red Sox just sign Bogey, or Raffy it will improve the team? Of course you are not saying the team could get a lot worse if they don’t. You keep saying we like you are part of the management team worrying about re-setting the tax at any time. How the team gets better is up to Bloom, and it sounds like to me you don’t think he can make the team better with all that has to be done. If you don’t think the team will be worse off without Bogey, and Raffy then we certainly have a big disagreement, because I think the team won’t be as good just like without Betts.
  22. Like I have said many time what is important is the present, which at the moment is 2022, which is for all intent, and purpose is a lost season, so when the season is over we move on to 2023, which will then be important. 2024, and beyond is a long time off, and most don’t think about rebuild, cliffs, or anything else. That’s your thing, and that is right for you, but some have completely different ways to look at things, and that is right for them.
  23. Did not resigning Betts make the team better? Not resigning Bogey, and Raffy could make the team a lot worse. Are you going to get two players, who are as good as these two, and be able to hack it playing in Boston, and how much would that cost?
  24. That is very evident.
  25. So signing Story wasn’t to help in 2022, or 2023, or any other move? Huh? Has anyone told you this, or is this just an opinion? So the Sox were to take two years off, and hopefully be good in 2024. WOW!
