  1. Baby brained ********? Wow!
  2. You can F all you want, but you shouldn’t blame the messenger, but blame the message. A last place losing team is what you got, and let’s just bring everyone back, and pat them on the back.
  3. A 214 average isn’t good no matter who it is, but hitting 40 HR is more accepted than a leadoff guy hitting 214 with 6 HR. Schwaber does hit leadoff, but his job is to hit HR, and drive in runs, where some leadoff guys main job is to get on base, and let someone else drive them in.
  4. Not only a last place team, but behind the O’s, and there is no way to sugarcoat that, and nor it shouldn’t. This team came out of the gate losing, and they will end it losing, and yes they will end up a losing last place team. Let’s call it what it is. There are all kinds of reasons, and there should be all kinds of blame from TOP to bottom, and from players, and management alike. This is what $200M+ has gotten you, and yes have to pay some of that dreaded tax to boot.
  5. 5-6 5 games from 500 6 games from getting out of last place in the Div. 14 games left. Let’s just get this season over, and start on next year.
  6. So now we know why Bloom was looking for that 3rd option when he came to the fork in the road at the trade deadline. This explains it all.
  7. I think it depends on who else is on the team, and what is needed most. Hard to pass on 40 HR.
  8. Must have lots to sell.
  9. The only way to stop it is don’t do it at all.
  10. As many as they can. They don’t care where the money comes from. It’s funny to me that Ace Tickets is a sponsor of the Red Sox. Doesn’t it cost more to get a ticket from Ace Ticket than it would from the Red Sox?
  11. No Blame to be assigned, but what Bloom could get away with in Tampa might not go over so well in Boston. Bloom is not in Kansas (Tampa) anymore.
  12. Nor is the media coverage in Tampa nowhere close to Boston.
  13. True enough. I did years ago.
  14. That’s been one of my main points is that the paying customers who go to Fenway shouldn’t have to pay big bucks for any fire sales, rebuilds, or cliffs.
  15. If it wasn’t Bogey going for the batting title I would say I hope he wins the triple crown just to see them have to pay more, and more, and more.
  16. JH graced them with his presence on the show out of the kindness of his heart to help them with ratings. What a guy.
  17. And you are operating on the assumption there is a plan based on what? Your devotion, and trust in Bloom? I haven’t listened to Felger, and Mass for sometime now, but even when I did I didn’t base any opinion on what Mass said just like I don’t on anything you say.
  18. You have to have an idea first, before you can formulate a plan, and I think Bloom is still looking for that first idea thus the looking for the third option at the fork in the road analogy, because if those first offers to Bogey, and Raffy were his plan he’d better come up with a new one, because that certainly didn’t work.
  19. I guess Theo wasn’t available.
  20. As JH said on the Felger, and Mass show Larry Lucchino runs the Red Sox, so he gave the top guy the lift.
  21. Winning, and losing is the only thing that counts in the long run, good plan, or bad plan. I’ve already given my opinion on where a plan should start, and that is Bogey, or Raffy coming, or going, or both. The contract offers both got, before the season even started looks like Bloom looking for his first idea, and it hasn’t come to him yet.
  22. The WL column has this year, and will going forward. I only consider myself a amateur sleuth myself, but I can’t speak for the rest.
  23. And you are going on what evidence that they do?
  24. I realize that, but the big question is do they. If the trade deadline is any indication I’m not so sure. As I have voiced many times I’m not in the Bloom I trust camp, and to me this off season will go a long way in showing if Bloom is a Boy Wonder, or a Boy Blunder.
  25. For someone who’s big on how much money there is to spend, and if JH has to pay any tax, or not it would just seem to me you would have to know how much Bogey, and Raffy would cost, or if anything at all, which would mean more money to spend, or less money to spend, before you could move forward, but maybe that’s just me, and how I would do things. It seems to me at the moment the Red Sox don’t have anymore of a plan now than they did at the trade deadline, and are looking for that 3rd option at the fork in the road.
