  1. Ok I know how lying works, but I just don’t buy into it. If it all is one big lie, and I believe it is then the Red Sox are playing fans for fools, and I don’t know what would be worse believing the fans would buy it, or the fans that actually did.
  2. It’s only being lied to if you buy into it. I think the Red Sox showed their true intentions with Bogey with their offer last offseason, so for myself I haven’t bought into any of the lip service from Sam Kennedy, or Bloom this time around. It’s like the old actions speak louder than words.
  3. Raffy wasn’t exactly pounding the ball the last few months either.
  4. It still amazes me that who gets into the playoffs are still decided by polls, and guys sitting in cigar smoke filled rooms. Also the fact that not everyone plays the same amount of games which hurts some teams, and helps others.
  5. According to Peter Abraham the Red Sox have not made a competitive offer to Bogey, and Bogey is meeting in person with other teams. If the report is true would that surprise anyone?
  6. Casas, Mayer, and Bello aren’t going anywhere, and signing free agent relievers (who), and then trading Houck, and Schreiber I don’t believe will happen either. So far Martin has replaced Whitlock, so the BP is pretty much where we left it, which is still needing a closer, and more good arms.
  7. Inexpensive option? You would have to give up something pretty good to get him, and then if you got him you would have to lock him up long term, so in the end it would be costly.
  8. Agree, and I don’t think Bloom is even considering trading Casas, Mayer, or Bello at this point.
  9. Seems like Martin is a good addition to the BP, but he’s basically taking the place of Whitlock, so more help is definitely needed.
  10. Agree, and I’ve been sounding the closer alarm since last offseason when I did offer 2 solutions in Jansen, and Bard. Going with Houck is risky to me just as counting on Schreiber to be as good as last year, and hoping that Barnes can get back to his good days, which I believe are gone forever.
  11. More problems for the Red Sox as the O’s have added Franchy! The rich get richer.
  12. Bloom is trying to make up from last year’s signing of Streakman.
  13. Agree, and Buchner wasn’t the answer either. These are Kelly QB too.
  14. Looks like a good signing, but at 37 who knows. I think they still need a few more arms for the pen, and I still say they need an actual closer, which I know the Red Sox are probably not going to get.
  15. Add an extra 4th year to make Bloom’s record look better? After 2023 I think Bloom’s 4 years will not be as good as DD 4 years.
  16. Drew Pyne to enter transfer portal, and will not play in Bowl game for Notre Dame!
  17. Sam Kennedy is saying something could happen at any moment. Something could mean anyone, and anything, but I’m not going to sit by my phone waiting for messages to pop.
  18. That i didn’t know, but I still don’t think there is any lure about playing in Boston anymore. Even back in the day CC, and DP signed in Boston, because they were the highest bidders, and the same with Story last year, but I just don’t see Boston being the highest bidder anytime soon, and that includes for Raffy. JH, and times have changed.
  19. Even Efrin picked Tampa over Boston even with that shithole ballpark, and small fan base. What’s the lure to Boston especially if Bogey, and Raffy leave playing with Story? I sure not retaining Boston’s good homegrown players doesn’t look good from the outside either.
  20. Evol did too.
  21. I don’t think Boston is a preferred destination like it used to be, and I’ll say again that Boston will not outbid any other team for some one relevant.
  22. Soto couldn’t save them either.
  23. And a deal that JH didn’t want to pay, and now comes the next ones up in Bogey, and Raffy, and will JH give them a reasonable deal in todays market?
  24. I answered it my way, and much to the chagrin of the few that it bothers. A winner every time.
  25. Losing Mookie did not make the team better. Losing Bogey will not make the team better. Losing Raffy will not make the team better. Now the Red Sox May still win, but it won’t be, because they lost those players.
