  1. Agree, and Buchner wasn’t the answer either. These are Kelly QB too.
  2. Looks like a good signing, but at 37 who knows. I think they still need a few more arms for the pen, and I still say they need an actual closer, which I know the Red Sox are probably not going to get.
  3. Add an extra 4th year to make Bloom’s record look better? After 2023 I think Bloom’s 4 years will not be as good as DD 4 years.
  4. Drew Pyne to enter transfer portal, and will not play in Bowl game for Notre Dame!
  5. Sam Kennedy is saying something could happen at any moment. Something could mean anyone, and anything, but I’m not going to sit by my phone waiting for messages to pop.
  6. That i didn’t know, but I still don’t think there is any lure about playing in Boston anymore. Even back in the day CC, and DP signed in Boston, because they were the highest bidders, and the same with Story last year, but I just don’t see Boston being the highest bidder anytime soon, and that includes for Raffy. JH, and times have changed.
  7. Even Efrin picked Tampa over Boston even with that shithole ballpark, and small fan base. What’s the lure to Boston especially if Bogey, and Raffy leave playing with Story? I sure not retaining Boston’s good homegrown players doesn’t look good from the outside either.
  8. Evol did too.
  9. I don’t think Boston is a preferred destination like it used to be, and I’ll say again that Boston will not outbid any other team for some one relevant.
  10. Soto couldn’t save them either.
  11. And a deal that JH didn’t want to pay, and now comes the next ones up in Bogey, and Raffy, and will JH give them a reasonable deal in todays market?
  12. I answered it my way, and much to the chagrin of the few that it bothers. A winner every time.
  13. Losing Mookie did not make the team better. Losing Bogey will not make the team better. Losing Raffy will not make the team better. Now the Red Sox May still win, but it won’t be, because they lost those players.
  14. It’s contagious.
  15. I’m still bummed about Fisk myself.
  16. Agree, and I don’t think the average fan gets deep into things as they do on here, and really don’t want to do anymore then watch the games, and hope for a win, cheer for their favorite players, and a trip to the postseason.
  17. I would say that sums it up pretty well. It’s like the kid who says you have to play my way, or I’ll take my toys, and go home.
  18. Now that was well written, and will definitely put you in the top spot for poster of the year. Of course I’m sure there will be a big rebuttal coming your way, but big will not be good.
  19. I don’t believe anyone will play the proverbial violin for JH, and especially if Bogey, and or Raffy aren’t resigned it will be the opposite.
  20. Agree, and I don’t believe Henry was in on bringing JBJ back to Boston either.
  21. He used to say as he did back in the day that LL runs the Red Sox, but lots have changed since even the CC signing, and contracts have gone up big time, and the Red Sox have been burned more times then not over some bad signings have they not?
  22. What he doesn’t get is that when he’s calling out other fans, because they wail, weep, and bawl he is doing the same thing. A big nerve has been struck, and a tantrum ensues. Hilarious to watch actually. How can those bad, bad fans not think like him? Pretty easy actually. Do you think fans are out there weeping in their pillow at night, because a fire sale might happen? Oh the other hand I can imagine a poster weeping in his pillow, because the fire sale didn’t happen. Sad, but true.
  23. But through all of that it is Henry who writes the checks, and has the final decision, and that has been the answer all along, and still is.
  24. Spin away to fit your narrative on this. Who said Henry doesn’t take advice from anyone? The answer is wait for it NO ONE. Henry has the final answer on if the check will clear, or not, so no matter who he has negotiate for him is maybe the irrelevant part, so you may have something right. I’m sure some are better negotiators though than others.
