  1. My goof. I looked up quick, and thought I saw my name that he was answering. I would Never answer for Notin.
  2. No! That’s how Notin sees it.
  3. Bad sources whomever it was.
  4. I disagree, and I don’t think the 2023 season will hinge on if Song, or Ort are on the 40 man for the success of the Red Sox. No bet is safe. Especially this one.
  5. The bottom of the 40 man isn’t as important to some as it is to most on here, and I don’t think it means that someone is a bad exec if he feels that way.
  6. Right he hasn’t pitched in 3 seasons, and is pitching now.
  7. Agree, and like I said it’s a bigger deal on here than it is to DD, and Philly.
  8. I agree that DD didn’t expect this, but i don’t think anyone thinks DD is a genius. Not now, not before, or not ever. He drafted Song, and took a chance on him. It not going to break the Phillies one way of the other what ends up with Song. I think it’s a bigger deal on here by far than it is in Philly.
  9. The Hawk started doing Sox games in 1975, and lasted to 1981.Monty took over in 1982.
  10. I’ll agree with you on McDonough who I would take above all that is there now. Donny O got shafted out of Boston, and to me what they have now is second rate, or in Youck, and Millar maybe third rate.
  11. I’m not a fan of Merloni, but I can tolerate him more than the others. Not a fan of OB either.
  12. My first remembrance was Gowdy, Ned Martin, and Art Gleeson. A little later Mel Parnell came in, and Johnny Pesky for awhile. Ned Martin broke in the Rem Dog who was terrible in the beginning.
  13. Ned Martin was pretty good also.
  14. Abraham said Both DD, and GM Fuld had smiles on their faces when the selection was made.
  15. Always on here!
  16. Heck no! I’m in the minority more times than not especially on here, but not out in the real world like the gym. I don’t think it has anymore meaning at the gym, or the bowling alley than it does on here. Get out more often you might like it, but then again probably not.
  17. Yes a good story it is, and I’m excited to see how it turns out.
  18. Not always, so it’s a case by case basis, but for this case I think it’s correct.
  19. I just think it’s will be interesting how this will all turn out, and who will benefit if it turns out to be a success story.
  20. I’ve heard a lot more fans go with that story than your repeated version. I wonder why that is? Must be a better subscription, and circulation.
  21. A story that lots have run with though.
  22. It has everything to do with your question. Just, because Song hasn’t pitched in three years doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how, or can’t now. Like others have said this is in the vast unknown category, and I’m anxious to see how it turns out. Suspect to prospect to Big leaguer, or suspect to reject.
  23. Bottom line is Bloom hasn’t done a good job, and the WL bears that out, and has made many blunders along the way tough job, or not. Like I have said many times the only way to silence the critics is for the Red Sox to get better in the WL column, and into the postseason. Anything less is a failure tough job, or not.
  24. Did Song forget how to pitch, or something?
  25. You write the story to fit your narrative, but just not everyone shares your narrative, which isn’t surprising at all.
