  1. The Red Sox stole Whitlock from the Yankees, and my prediction is that when all is said, and done the final outcome will be that the Phillies, and DD stole one from the Red Sox, and Bloom.
  2. When Song was drafted back in 2019 the Red Sox knew it could, and would be a long time, before he would get the chance to appear in a Red Sox uniform. The Red Sox waited this long so they should have just finished the job.
  3. I agree totally. Ort is just one of these guys who hangs around the minor leagues, and that’s all he is, and will ever be, so Song definitely over Ort, and it’s not even close to me.
  4. Agree, and we’ll find out who is right. DD, or Bloom.
  5. Bottom line is the Red Sox knew it was going to be a long journey to get Song on the mound in a Red Sox uniform, and when it got near the end they got rid of him. Baseball sense? I don’t think so, and I hope Song turns out to be a good pitcher elsewhere.
  6. Bello hasn’t established anything yet, and neither has Casas, but call them what ever you want. No, no, and no on your last question, but they haven’t established anything in the ML either. Hype does not help in the standings, but if, and when it does it will be great.
  7. T-Ball was correct, but to say I think all prospects are suspects is incorrect. I think Casas, and Bello are prospects, and like I said I’m hoping they both live up to the hype. I just don’t get giddy like some do every time someone comes back in a trade like the Beni, Renfroe, or Vaz trades like the Red Sox have struck gold, or something. Not much has panned out yet.
  8. I wouldn’t do that to a fellow Navy man.
  9. The only thing I have tried to stress over, and over is that not all playing in the minor leagues are prospects, and even then not all prospects turn out, and produce in the ML, and turn out to be nothing more than suspects. Like I have also stressed I don’t get excited until they produce in a Red Sox uniform, or are traded for someone who does. That’s just me. Hopefully for right now Casas, and Bello live up to the hype. Lots is riding on that.
  10. One word. SUSPECT!
  11. I know I’m going out on a limb, but I’ll take that, and run with it.
  12. If Casas, and Bello break out this year that will be exciting, but Whitlock, and Houck not so much. Losing breeds, and brings negativity. If you want it to stop like I keep saying get better, and win more games, and get into the postseason. If they don’t the negativity will not only continue, but get even worse.
  13. There were all kinds of speculation on here that the Red Sox had all kinds of money was coming off the books, and all of that money would be spent. I asked the question who on the Red Sox had said they would be spending up to the dreaded tax line. Trades were supposedly to been made, which didn’t happen, but I never bought the high priced SS thing, because I had speculated all along if healthy Story was going to be the SS after Bogey left, and all points that to that being the case. Of course the arm changed all that. Wishing, and hoping didn’t make Bloom do, which lots had hoped for.
  14. I’ll agree there are many interesting storylines to follow this upcoming season, but outside of Casas, and or Bello breaking out I can’t see any of them being that exciting.
  15. I see both sides on JH, and I’m fine with both sides. For the moment.
  16. #1. Henry has a lot more things in the fire than he did in 2004, or 2007. #2. The game has changed, by leaps, and bounds in the last 10 years.
  17. Do you really think Henry has the same drive today as he did when he first came to Boston when he wanted to take down the evil empire, and win championships? I also think the game has changed a lot more from 2018 to today then it did from 2013 to 2018 especially financially. To some fans Henry has a lifetime pass for the 4 championships the Red Sox has won under his ownership, and that is fine, but to others like I said earlier Henry has worn out his welcome, and they think it’s time for a new Era under a new owner, and that is fine too. Getting Boo’d when he shows his face in public I’m thinking is an embarrassment to his ego.
  18. I think to some Red Sox fans Henry has worn out his welcome. He doesn’t seem to have the same passion as he did when he first came to Boston, and there is always the what have you done for me lately crowd. 2018 seems like a long, long time ago.
  19. Probably more suspects than actual prospects. Quantity mostly, and not much else.
  20. Well like you said the amount of things that have to break right for them to make a playoff run is quite great, and I think health in the starting rotation is the most important, but even if that happens no one knows what Sale, Paxton, and Kluber have left in the tank. It will be interesting to see, but I’m not that excited about it.
  21. The Red Sox thought they had things covered last year too.How did that work out?
  22. That’s been turned over.
  23. I just have a way different view, and the way I look at things. Some want to see the Red Sox have an easier schedule, so the Red Sox have a better chance at winning more games, and would probably also would like to see them change Div, so they wouldn’t be in last place like last year. All, because of last year. I on the other hand would just rather see the Red Sox get better, and win more games that way. It wouldn’t bother me if the Dodgers, and Astros were added to the Red Sox Div. I’m not looking for an easy way out, but only for the team get better, and win more that way. The Red Sox beat the Yankees head to head in 2021, and also had a good div record. 2022 was just a blip on the radar screen to me, and i wouldn’t have changed a thing with the schedule.
  24. It’s not that hard really.
  25. Wha, wha, wha on the schedule. Like I keep saying if you want to win more games the best solution to me is one thing. GET BETTER. I don’t recall all this tough schedule, and being in a tough Div talk in previous years, but for some reason it has been now. Get over it! The Red Sox sucked last year! If the only way the Red Sox can win more games is to go to an easier schedule then maybe the Red Sox have the Wrong people running the organization, and changes need to be made. That I would agree with.
