  1. I said Bobby D wasn’t a good option, but couldn’t be any worse than Kike. Bottom line why are the Red Sox even in the mess at SS. Your Hobo Chaim Bloom.
  2. Never was, but the best question is why is he good enough for Cora, and Bloom.
  3. Would it hurt to bring Hamilton up to play SS? He played most of the games at SS for Worcester so far. He might even get on base, and get a steal, or two. If he’s not good enough to come up now with the hole the Red Sox have at SS then he probably never will.
  4. I agree with you that the team wasn’t put together very well (again) especially up the middle. A SS who has never played SS FT, a 2B who can handle the position, but has never been healthy enough to do so, and a CF who is better suited for a corner OF, and has never been a FT CF. Also two backup C with not a lot of experience. Not a good way to put a team together, and that’s just on the D side.
  5. Oh no! Say it ain’t so! Someone would have a lot of explaining to do Lucy.
  6. Mayer 1-5 with 4 K’s.
  7. Wong is a better C, and McGuire is a better hitter. Either way it certainly wouldn’t hurt having Wong catch Sale.
  8. 2023 Chris Sale has a lot to do with that.
  9. Not the start the Red Sox wanted, or needed, but only 12 games in. Not panicking yet, but it wouldn’t take much to get there. The offense shouldn’t be as bad has it’s been, and it showed a little bit of life last night. SS, and CF seem the most concerning right now along with the Start of Chris Sale, which I think most agreed that a productive Chris Sale is a must for the team to have any chance of a postseason appearance.
  10. The good news is the Red Sox scored some runs tonight. The bad news is they lost again, and Sale had a rough outing again.
  11. Good to see the offense showing some life tonight.
  12. Like I said Cora, and Bloom get together, and brainstorm, and they come up with things like Bobby D at SS. Just like last year with Franchy at 1B, and Arroyo in RF. At least Bobby D is an IF, and can’t be any worse than what the Red Sox have been getting from Kike. If he is, and since obviously there are no other options maybe it’s time for JH to sell, and get someone in here who willing to get someone who can find a competent option.
  13. You mean like the idea that Cora came up with today. Bobby D wasn’t playing SS at ST, and down at Worcester for the heck of it. Cora, and Bloom come up with ideas like Franchy Strangeglove at 1B.
  14. Bello vs Ohtani on Pats Day?
  15. Bello threw 80 pitches yesterday. He’s ready. Cora only lets his starters go 5 anyway.
  16. It’s not a cheap shot on the Mookie trade. Jeter Downs was a BUST, and Wong is a backup C. Like I said before I’m not looking for any major prospect here to play SS, or CF just someone somewhat reliable, and competent, which obviously the Red Sox do not have.
  17. It would be a waste to use Bello as a piggyback, and Whitlock too. I’m all for Whitlock in the BP, but not as a PB.
  18. How about drawing the lineup out of a hat? It couldn’t hurt at the moment.
  19. I said it wasn’t a good option, but better than Kike at the moment. Maybe Cora can come out of retirement.
  20. Over due considering all the Scuffling that’s been going on.
  21. I would love to see Kike go on one of his hot streaks, and I’m sure he, and the Sox would as well, but I’m just not to confident it is going to happen.
  22. Before it was Gallo.
  23. #1 who’s fault is it that they don’t have anymore options than what you mentioned? Playing Kike at SS is pretty much like playing no one there anyway. It’s surly is not a good option, but Bobby D I don’t think would do any worse, and at least would get a base hit every now, and then. As for the loser I’ve seen others go back, and forth with another poster on here myself.
  24. In the short term losing Bogey was, and is a losing proposition.
  25. I agree with Yoshida, and Casas playing, because they are going to be around for a few years, and are not a stopgap like Kike, and i wouldn’t call playing Kike as a best bet, and if it yours you’re probably a loser.
