  1. I’ve said lots of things in the past, but this is what set off the latest go around, and like you said that wasn’t gloom, and doomish especially after I had said it was a great sweep, and a good home stand.
  2. Everyone knows how strong the AL East is, and has been since the beginning. The Red Sox also have been in the AL East since the beginning, so I just don’t get why go on, and on about it when the team is only going bad.
  3. From saying I didn’t know if the offense could keep up the pace to offset the starting rotation? Not only wow, but W O W!
  4. I actually bought the hype, and took GOshida in the second round of my live fantasy draft. When it got time to get my grade from the moderator on the draft he said I got a D, and that GOshida was the 2nd worst pick in the draft. He’s working out fine for me, and the Sox.
  5. Like I said the Red Sox are still on the back burner to me, so I guess the excitement on May 5 just hasn’t hit me like it has some. If the Red Sox are still rolling along after the C’s are done then maybe I’ll jump on the bandwagon, but I’m just not there yet. We will disagree on who has benefited from bad play the most the Sox, or the opponent, and yes we see things we want to see, but all in all there has been some pretty bad baseball that has been played so far.
  6. Bruins are still getting plenty of talk, and ink. Most of it not good though.
  7. No! I’m used to it since my first being called a Cora hater, because I said I wouldn’t have hired him back, because of his cheating scandal when I first came on here, and have heard it many times since. It’s the standard fallback for some.
  8. Bloom outbid everybody, and shut the bidding down on the first day, which had never happened before that is a fact, and probably even shocked Boras. I don’t think there are any HATERS a term that is way over used on here. Critics are not haters. At the end of 5yrs will determine if it was worth it, or not.
  9. Once again being in that damm AL East again where they have been since divisions were put into baseball. Like I’ve said before I would rather play in a tough Div, and face the Yankees 50 times a year than play the A’s 50 times a year just to get a better record.
  10. It’s amazing on here that in the game thread yesterday I said it was a great sweep, and a good home stand, and the only question was is if the offense could keep the pace up to offset the starting pitching. Some took it from there, and said it wasn’t in the moment, and negative. Wow! I’m not as giddy as some on May 5th I guess with more important stuff going on like the C’s at the moment, and Bruins, and the NFL draft before that I’m just not ordering any postseason tickets just yet.
  11. We’ve handed away as many games as has been handed to us? I don’t believe that is anywhere close to being true, so your eye test must be a lot different from mine. You keep saying we’ve beaten winning teams, and I agree with that, but we disagree how how good those winning teams are. Yes in my opinion ML baseball is weak just like I think all professional leagues are watered down, and high school up through college too.
  12. Would you say so far this season the Red Sox have won, because they have played so good, or is it , because teams they are playing have played so bad?A dropped fly ball to end the game, 3 C interference calls in one game, and numerous errors, dropped, and misplayed fly balls not withstanding along the way. The Red Sox yes have played winning teams, but team that have been playing the kind of ball like the Red Sox did last year for many times that looked more like little leaguers than major leaguers.
  13. I would say I’m more confident that the Red Sox would win more than the C’s.
  14. The moment for me is that The C’s are in Philly tonight for game three of a playoff series that is tied 1-1. Is anything else going on?
  15. That’s the big question going forward. How long can the offense sustain this pace to cover up the starting pitching?
  16. Drohan with a 6 inn 1 hit night for the Sea Dogs tonight.
  17. A great sweep, and a real good home stand. Not all is good, because the offense has been making up for the starting pitching, but the W-L is what matters most, and the W’s piled up. On to Philadelphia!
  18. And the offense was doing pretty good with him scuffling. If he gets rolling WOW!
  19. Another good game by old friend E Rod today of 8 innings of 9K shutout baseball. He now has given up 2 runs in his last 34.2 innings, and now sports a not so gaudy 1.81 ERA. Last year was a pretty wasted year with personal problems, and it looked good not to resign him, but this year so far looks like a good keeper.
  20. Things usually work themselves out, and there is still a long ways to go if at all that everyone is back, and healthy. If Duran is for real, and Casas finally decides to swing the bat, and gets straightened out it will be a good problem to have to find room for everyone if everyone is going good at the same time, which I’m not counting for that to happen.
  21. Damm!being in the toughest Div in baseball thing again. The Red Sox have been in the same Div since Divisions came into baseball. When they have been good they have been good, and when they have been bad they have been bad. I don’t care what place they end up in as long as they make the postseason.
  22. Definitely a better product to watch, and winning more than losing helps too. Makes it easier to listen to the Yuckers in the booth too.
  23. Might as well get the Brooms out, and sweep the aBlue Jays out of town. Boy when things are going good like right now, and the Jays are looking like the Red Sox did last year with errors galore, balls being misplayed in the OF. The scary part for the rest of the league should be that this current winning fortune has come with not much help from Raffy at the bat, and the offense will be that much scarier when he starts hitting again.
  24. Agree on Duran. Last year he didn’t even look like a minor league player let alone a major leaguer.
  25. Who would have thunk it that key players to the season so far would have been the likes of the Law Firm of Duran, Winkin, and Wong.
