  1. I wonder what Bloom would have done if 3 clubs hadn’t passed on Mayer?
  2. To me I here all kinds of talk on here that the Red Sox have all kinds of arms in the organization like Kut Man, and Wink, Mata, Murphy, Walter but to me these guys are not much more than some arms to fill out the organization. Seabold was even touted on here too for a while. Mata can through 100, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be a good productive pitcher. I think the picture for starters from within look pretty bleak, but then again what else is new.
  3. Who knows! I think you can only do so much with a pitcher to make them better, or not, and it’s not like Bush has much to work with.
  4. Unless Bello turns out the Red Sox have Nothing close to Smoltz, Glavine, or Maddox in the organization.
  5. 5 innings at the very least, but 6 would be better.
  6. Luckily the Sox got the stopper Pivetta going today. He’d better be the BP needs a rest already.
  7. Usually the wind is blowing in this time of year.
  8. Can’t go to the BP this early.
  9. I was hoping to get a night off from Youck, but no such luck.
  10. Right now i wouldn’t change a thing. Dugy can hit LHP some, and i wouldn’t move Duvall anywhere right now either, because he’s getting plenty of RBI chances where he is. 9 runs a game right now, so why would you want to change anything? Later maybe.
  11. I agree and except of health to Sale, and Kluber I think the progression of Whitlock, and Bello are key. If those two don’t work out then the problem really gets bad.
  12. No, before he graduated. After that you’re at the mercy of the military. You have 2 years to decide if you want to stay at the Academy, or not.
  13. If you leave before 2 for 7 night there is no financial obligations. He wasn’t filing for any exemptions until after he got out of the Academy.
  14. I’m just saying he could have gotten out of the Academy after 2 years with no more obligations. I’m not sure about the money part.
  15. What a problem it is to have so many good pitches you don’t know what to do with them all. How did Bloom get so lucky?
  16. Song did throw a bullpen session Sat, so at least he’s throwing a ball again.
  17. It’s amazing that the Navy is getting all the blame when Song should share some of the blame too if not more. Song could have gotten out of the Academy after two years, but decided to stay in.
  18. Good for them, but I believe Roger Dodger did his full time.
  19. Wow! If your Maine objective is to play collegiate sports why would you want to go to one of the service academies in the first place? I had a relative a few years ago who had a chance to go play basketball at the Naval Academy. She went for a visit, and a overnight stay, and things were all spelled out on what the restrictions, and commitments would be, and she decided it was not for her, and that’s the way it should be. The only thing to me is it was a waste to send Song to Flight School.
  20. That’s in my opinion the way it should be. He went into the Navy as the #1 priority, and not to play baseball. He could have gone anywhere to play baseball, but choose the Navy instead. He new full well what the commitment was. Just, because he was good at baseball shouldn’t have gotten him an easy, or early out.
  21. Ride the hot bats while you can, and we all know starting pitching is going to be the difference one way, or the other.
  22. The Ref Man gets to play LF, and leadoff today while Casas takes a seat.
  23. The starting pitching has sucked, but just as troubling is the ease at which the O’s are stealing bases.
  24. Not only no, but hell no! We’ve been through this many times before. I know some are willing to wait, but I think that’s few to the many on the other side. Bloom, and JH got booed back in January, and fans booed on opening day. This team to many are not getting any leeway, and aren’t willing to wait anymore, and anything less than a trip to the PS this year will be totally unacceptable. Like I’ve said before there is NO guarantee that all the prized suspects will turn out to be as good as what everyone is hoping for.
  25. I agree, and I don’t think Kluber, or Sale are going to be as bad as they were the last few days. Kluber didn’t have his usual control, and Sale did have some velo. I don’t think Sale will be the old Sale anymore, but he should be better than yesterday.
