  1. 3rd time through the order everyone knows Houck sucks. That was the right move. Houck had trouble with that part of the batting order the 2nd time through.
  2. Houck couldn’t be trusted to go another batter.
  3. Right now everything is great.
  4. It’s kind of like a game thread. All it takes sometimes is one bad pitch for the doom, and gloom to start, or one big hit that everything is great.
  5. Kluber was a cheaper option than Evol.
  6. Giving up 3 ER in 5 innings a 5+ era is serviceable at best. It’s sufficient when the Red Sox have been scoring the amount of runs they’ve been scoring, but it won’t be when they don’t. Like I said serviceable at best. It’s a pretty low bar when a 5+ era is ok.
  7. Sox win! Sox win! Looking for a double sweep tomorrow with the C’s, and Sox.
  8. Funny, and definitely not a fan club member.
  9. Arroyo was just starting to hit when Cora benched him.l Valdez has been hitting, but Kike should be the one that sits as long as arroyo is producing.
  10. The Kut Man had a good stretch last year, but Wink has definitely been the big surprise to me.
  11. My glass is always half full, and I would say Chang has been the best SS we’ve had so far this year, and that 7-6 could have been worse without his D. I’m also pretty sure the team would still be rolling along today if he was still the SS.
  12. Let’s not forget that there were plenty of bats at that time whose bats were very bad including Yoshida. The thing is too that if Kike hadn’t been sucking at SS at the time, and yes he’s straightened out some, and Arroyo couldn’t hit is what gave Chang the shot in the first place. Then if Chang doesn’t get hurt Valdez doesn’t come up. Also if Duvall doesn’t get hurt Duran doesn’t come up. You never want to see someone get hurt, but wow how have things worked out, because they did. Maybe even Wink, and the Kut Man wouldn’t have been given the roles they did if Paxton, and Bello, and Whit been ready to start the season. Like they say things usually work themselves out.
  13. I forgot about Chang too who had solidified the D at SS before he got hurt.
  14. People were saying that a lot of things had to go right for the Red Sox to be successful this year with a healthy Sale being one of them, but I don’t think the likes of Duran, Valdez, Wong, Wink, and Kut Man as one of those things that had to go right, and all have been major contributors. You just never know.
  15. As long as the train is riding in the right direction like it is now don’t get off. Things are rolling right now, and getting help from all different directions, and a much better, and entertaining product to watch from last year when the circus was in town more times than not. Can’t say I like all the Yucking from the YUCKERS in the booth, but it’s bearable when they are winning. Let the good times roll!
  16. I didn’t see the game last night, but I heard Sale pitched pretty well, and hit 99 on the gun. I also heard he pulled a little nutty, and hit himself beside the head with the baseball. That’s keeping your head in the game.
  17. What a night out on the town in Philly. Boston Wins, and Boston wins!
  18. I couldn’t find any green.
  19. That’s an even swap. On another note is Dugy hurting? Not in the lineup again tonight.
  20. I don’t believe anyone said it doesn’t mean more to win, or lose to a winning team than it does winning, or losing to a losing team. I will still state my opinion that most high school, college, and professional sports are watered down from years past. If you have 30 teams in MLB somebody has to win, and somebody has to lose, so you are going to have teams with winning records, and you are going to have teams with losing records. All teams with winning records does not mean they are all good teams, and all teams with losing records does not mean they are bad teams. That’s my main point, and I don’t know about you but my eye test has shown me some pretty bad baseball played this year in the games I’ve watched. As for seeds in sports they are way overrated. Miami beat the Bucks, because they were playing better ball.Miami is a lot better team than a so called #8 seed, and came with in a missed 3 pointer of beating the C’s last year. How did the #1 seed help the Bruins? Head to head, and matchups mean a lot more than a seed in any sport.
  21. I think all of professional sports is not just MLB. I get out to HS, and college, and I say the same thing.
  22. Remember I was the one who kept saying I wasn’t panicking after the sweep by the Rays. That’s pretty good for me.
  23. I’m just not as excited as some with the C’s still in the postseason. My rule for me is playoffs take precedent over regular season, and I have already said I trust the Red Sox winning more than the C’s at the moment.
