  1. Duvall looking at June 9 as a return date. Things could change a lot between now, and then about where, and how often he would play. I don’t expect him to just pick up where he left off with the bat, but who knows.
  2. To me there are to many WC teams as it is. what makes everything close now as it is could be the big money teams like SD, Mets, and Phillies are treading water right now, and are down with teams they shouldn’t be with. At least on paper anyway. I would just do away with divisions myself, and have everyone play the same schedule, and the teams with the best record go to the postseason.
  3. Sorry I’m still flummoxed, and pissed at the C’s game last night. I should have stayed home, and watched the Red Sox.
  4. If he was only doing it with the bat I would say a little suspicion might be in order since it’s quite a turnaround, but he’s improved chasing fly balls too instead of butterflies.
  5. Sometimes the most talented teams on paper don’t do so well. There are a few big money talented teams right now that aren’t doing that great.
  6. Thanks for the correction. I was to late to fix.
  7. Short amount of time, but Reyes, and Valdez has done a better job than Arroyo, and Kike. And the beat goes on. Keep playing them both.
  8. Pivetta to the BP as a long man. That takes care of the logjam for the moment for the rotation.
  9. He’s certainly made a couple of bad Renfroe type throws lately.
  10. Like I keep saying the Red Sox took the cheaper way out with Kluber. I wanted to resign ERod, and last year it looked good they didn’t, but he’s turned it around so far this year. Either one are better than Kluber, or Pivetta, or Houck in the rotation for that matter.
  11. I judge every game myself from the first game of the year to the last game of the year, and then a final judgement at the end, so it’s like GOshida, or NOshida just like last year when it was Story Land is open, or Story Land is closed.
  12. More GOshida than NOshida, so I’ve come around a little.
  13. Even I have started to believe, and I was as hard on Duran as anyone, but to get all the way there I still need to see him do it for a longer period of time. If he’s still playing well at the all star break I’m in.
  14. Why is he still in the game?
  15. Agree, and I think most pitchers having an option would rather start then be in the pen.
  16. Kike was resigned last year, but in hindsight using that $10M on an actual SS would have been a better move.
  17. I don’t know much of what any of this means, but I take it that it doesn’t mean it’s good.
  18. The pitcher Castillo going tonight is someone they got in a trade last year. Something it appears that Bloom is afraid to do, and would rather go bargain basement shopping.
  19. That’s not against Red Sox pitching though. Red Sox pitching put the Cardinals into a bigger roll, and scored 18 last night.
  20. Just like last year Houck started in the rotation, because of injuries. I don’t think it helps him any to be jerked, back, and forth through.
  21. Martin was available, and rested.
  22. The facts I stated in this case were cold hard facts. More wouldn’t have changed anything.
  23. I don’t think Casas eye at the plate is as good as he thinks it is. He’s taken quite a few called third strikes.
  24. Max they are not going to change things at the spur of the moment. All these pitches have routines that they go through, and Bello’s is focused on tomorrow, and Pax on Friday.
