  1. I said a few days ago that he had straightened his D out at SS.
  2. I was more impressed with his D.
  3. I said they needed Jansen before last year even started. What a difference he makes to the BP!
  4. You’re the only one in Red Sox Nation calling it the no name offense.
  5. Let’s not leave out the infield D.
  6. Good stuff, and a good outing by Bello tonight, against a very good hitting team. Excellent infield D behind him tonight also.
  7. Littell designated for assignment. Added Pax.
  8. I mentioned this last week, and now in his last 41.2 innings he’s given up 2 ER with 41 K’s. Like I said the last time last year it looked good not to resign him, but not so much this year. His nifty 1.57 ERA ain’t bad either. No not a #1, but good enough.
  9. Quantity does not always equal quality, and I think this is the case. Just keeping 5 healthy starters at the same time may be the biggest challenge.
  10. Kike is better on D than all 3 that I’ll agree on, but Kike can’t hit enough to stay in the lineup to me. If there wasn’t so many injuries to the IF he would just a a sub there too. Chang had beaten him out for SS as it was.
  11. For myself I’m not counting on any of the returning from the IL to comeback, and start producing right away, or at all in some cases. Who knows what will be happening with the lineup at the present time. Duran, and Valdez have played well, but I’m not sold on either yet long term, and who knows what Casas will be doing either. Things will most likely work themselves out for better, or worse.
  12. I didn’t watch the game last night, because I suffered through the C’s, and I don’t watch a replay of something that has already been played, but if someone told me someone had thrown 31 pitches in a inning, and had given up singles, HBP, walk, WP, and a HR i don’t care if they bled him to death, or not I would say he sucked.
  13. Improvements doesn’t necessarily mean it will be good enough if the offense don’t score 7-8 runs a game.
  14. If anyone can fix him the Rays can.
  15. Jake Streakman working on a deal to join the Rays.
  16. You make some excellent points, but in my opinion it was time to make the move, and remove Houck. More importantly it was Cora’s opinion that it was time to remove Houck from the game. I guess you two just didn’t connect on this one since you, and Cora agree so often. Like I mentioned before relax, and have a Gansett. Tomorrow’s another day, and another game.
  17. It’s another arm, but whether it’s a good arm, or not time will tell. It is time to find out though.
  18. I said it was the right move yesterday to take Houck out when they did, and I would say it today, and say it tomorrow Moon agreed at the time it was the right move, but said he would have brought someone else in. Because Max was throwing a hissy fit like he was the day before, and said Kike was an idiot, and questioned Moon about his opinion, and used a word that Moon had to correct him on Moon has been hemming, and hawing ever since. If Cora would have left Houck in, and the same thing happened I have no doubt Moon would have thrown a bigger hissy fit than Max, and would have thrown out all the stats he could find on why. The move didn’t work, but I still say it was the right move, and I would do it again.
  19. I’m still counting on June 6 as his ist game in Portland.
  20. Sounds like splitting hairs to me. You said it was the right move to take Houck out when Cora did. I hope you didn’t get hurt straddling that fence with the training wheels. If Cora would have left Houck in, and the same thing happened you would have thrown a bigger hissy fit than anyone, and you would have spewed out every stat you could find in why Houck should have come out. Wow! Wow! Wow!, and more Wow!
  21. Agree 100%, and if Hamilton hasn’t been called up by now with all the injuries to the IF he probably never will.
  22. The box score? The eye test should have told you he had trouble with that part of the order the 2nd time through, and that 2 runs he gave up could have been more. D
  23. So now Bobby D is the backup SS/2B?
