  1. NOBODY knows what someone else would have done as the HOBO of the Red Sox the last 4 years, and NOBODY will ever know, but we do know what Bloom did the last 4 years. The good, the BAD, and the UGLY.
  2. Talk about the same broken record, and wash rinse repeat that’s happened so many times you gone through 100 washing machines. Oh those damm bad conditions that Bloom had to endure during his tenure with the Red Sox. Bottom line, and I’ll say it millionth time, and have ever since the day he was hired that Bloom should NEVER been hired in the first place. ABB. You think just because Bloom was way in over his head in Boston that every else would have been also. I think that’s as far from the truth as you can get. You claim your not a Bloom guy, so I hate to see you if you was.🙈
  3. Where does it say NO ONE else wanted the job? Saying that others turned down interviews does not mean EVERYONE.
  4. Because they didn’t. Maybe Bloom wasn’t sought after as much as people think, but only one who would take the job.
  5. The word was others turned down interviews, so while Bloom may have been their top prize others were considered. Some sold JH on Bloom, and whoever that was should have gone out the door with Bloom for giving the Red Sox the Booby prize for hiring Bloom.
  6. Agree with the cleansing. Bloom had plenty of blame on him, but he was far from the only one, and shouldn’t be the only one who is shown the door let alone get a new job title like Exex VP of baseball ops.
  7. Unfortunately JH accepted Bloom without interviewing anyone else, and the word was that some turned down interviews the last time. Once again the Red Sox job is nowhere near as sort after as it used to be, and that’s all on JH. He needs to go. 4 titles, or not.
  8. Like I said after Bloom got booted, and BOH was named Exec VP of baseball ops, and Cora was told he was coming back with undoubtedly more power that people would be all lined up outside JH door for a job interview despite what Sam The Sham says.
  9. He even went over the CBT in 2022.
  10. I do believe ABB could have done a better job, but you don’t like Bloom is some kind of Gold standard.
  11. 100% agree. The underdog pep talk certainly didn’t help either especially when the players were voicing that they needed pitching help.
  12. Bloom was in over his head, and the 3rd option in the fork in the road at the past two deadlines was his calling card. That’s right that selling the last two years would have caused a bigger uproar then how things turned. If you didn’t want to play to win then don’t play at all.
  13. I agree that 2021 made them think they could do business as usual, which is what Sam said after the 2021 season going into 2022, but then they went out, and signed Story Land.
  14. Oh the poor, poor Bloom saga again. I blame JH more than anybody especially for hiring Bloom in the first place, and for not even interviewing anyone else.
  15. There were a lot more problems then just adding pitching this year at the deadline, but by not adding any pitching when 3 starters were on the IL, and then just waiting for them to not only come back, but to ramp up in the process certainly didn’t help.
  16. To look at it now the answer would be no, but how did things look back on Aug 1?
  17. There was plenty of blame to go around from JH down to the players themselves, but i don’t see Bloom as being any kind of scapegoat. He is far from blameless.🙈
  18. Even more so in these days, and times. The Red Sox got in to the postseason on the last day of the season in 2021, and almost made it to the WS. That is why you never pass up a chance to get in.
  19. Today is the 12 year anniversary of JH showing up at the Felger, and Mazz show saying he wanted to go on the air, because he didn’t like what was being said about him, and the Red Sox. Do you think JH would do that today? I don’t believe so, and like I’ve said many times that the JH of today, is nowhere near the JH back in those days.
  20. That’s Sam’s job.
  21. 👍👍👍.
  22. Red Sox looking for a new interpreter for Masa. They are pulling out all the stops.
  23. I wasn’t thinking that JH offered Cora to be the head guy, but maybe like an assistant GM. Anyway now we wait, and see what happens. I’m still leaning more of an inside job then going with an outsider.
  24. OK I just thought that after he had the meeting with Tom, and JH, and he told them he wasn’t ready that they were actually thinking about doing that with him making more of the comings, and goings decisions, but someone else actually doing the negotiations, and dotting the I, and crossing the t’s.
  25. Not everyone who has a different opinion is, because they are biased, but just has different views, and what matters to them might be a lot different from what matters to you. The here, and now of the WL record for example, and not what might be in 2026. I believe the WL record of the here, and now is what matters most to the players, and coaches too, and should. I don’t claim to know the true pulse of Red Sox Nation only that there is more than one out there from the small sample size on here. The more places you go you learn that.
