  1. Good trade for Red Sox. Bad trade for Tampa.
  2. If the Red Sox come back, and win great, but if they don’t the two errors were certainly huge, but not scoring in the first inning with bases loaded, and no outs was also big.
  3. I got the point plain, and simple. Sale was like a Story signing an injury most likely to happen.
  4. I’ll believe it when I see it. He’s still Cora’s favorite son.
  5. I’m sure there is for some, but for others it’s just BA, HR, and RBI, and don’t forget the eye test.
  6. I’m just going by what Cora says. Personally I not counting on anything from Story until I actually see him in the field playing.
  7. But he’s not a 2B now, and he was working out in the offseason throwing to be a SS, and snap, crackle, pop.
  8. Story had a bad arm his last year in Colorado that should have been a RED flag.
  9. That obviously is an argument to you, but just an opinion to me that hasn’t, and won’t change much to the chagrin to you, and others.
  10. We were talking about Hank Aaron, and all his numbers tell me all I need to know, which is what this whole thing is all about to me. What I want, and need to know is differently than what you need to want, and know. I don’t care what you seem to want, and know, but it bothers the hell out of you for some reason what I need, and want to know. Like I said before when I mention BA, and, or eye test it sets off bells, and whistles to some on here.
  11. What was my argument?
  12. Does more power make you a better player?
  13. That is where the old times stats BA, HR, and RBI would tell you all you needed to know about Hank. TB was always a big thing with Rice too.
  14. Is someone who hits more HR, and walks more a better hitter?
  15. The BA, and eye test tells me the most about a hitter, or at least it does to me, and that’s what matters most to me. The eye test shows, and tells a lot more than any analytics you can come up with. Every pitch, and every AB.
  16. Renfroe had 96 RBI that year in Boston, and that’s why it was used, and that’s why it mattered. Without it there is a good chance the Red Sox wouldn’t have made the Postseason, since they only got in by the skin of their teeth, and if that hadn’t of happened Kike never would have had the chance to go on his postseason rein of terror that he’s been living off for two years now.
  17. Luckily you don’t speak for everyone, but nice try, and keep on trying.
  18. What it tells you, and tells me are two different things. We get it 65 times over just today on your opinion of BA, but it isn’t changing anyone’s opinion like me who has a different opinion.
  19. But BA is what Hank Aaron liked the best, so it wasn’t meh to him. As always different strokes for different folks, and a good stroke will most likely get you a higher BA.
  20. I don’t think most would need one when it comes to JBJ.
  21. Crank that Jack in the box all you want on this. One of these days it may actually open for you.
  22. That’s All I need sometimes.
  23. As we’ve gone round, and round on this it depends on who is asking, and what the wants, and needs are. It’s not a one size fits all.
