Duvall back batting 5th tonight. Easy pitcher to face with Cole going. Raffy usually hits Cole, so maybe he’ll get going tonight.

2022 is gone now, and 2023 is here. JD is outperforming Turner with the bat, and Evol, and Wacha just come off pitcher of the month. Those 3 are all performing well, and Kluber sucks, so it’s very understandable why people are talking about them. If Turner was out performing JD, and Kluber was pitching decent not to mention the Red Sox wasn’t a losing last place in the Div team at the moment it wouldn’t be such a big thing, but they aren’t, and it does.

They could have just used Whitlock since it was his normal turn. Cora used 2 openers in a row, and then a batting practice pitcher down only 1 run in the 5th inning to piggyback one.

No matter how you look at things glass half empty, or glass half full it still adds up to a losing last place in the division team.

This team has to start new from the very top starting with JH, and work its way down through Bloom, and Cora. Imagine all the giddiness that was on here when the Sox were going through their winning streak. Now it’s just an embarrassment of a team.

I think the Red Sox have sunk In status to the #4 team in Boston, and it always hasn’t been that way. I said a few weeks ago the Red Sox were still on the back burner, because of the Bruins, and Celtics in the playoffs, and while both have been bounced there is still some residue effects leftover from the Celtics, but outside of that the Red Sox are now front, and center. After last nights debacle I’m not sure that’s a good thing.

Duvall is back tomorrow, so I don’t see Duran getting anywhere near the playing time he has been getting.

I remember a year, or so ago a well respected poster on here said we got Cora, and we got Bloom. Like that was to give the Red Sox an advantage over everyone else. Does anyone still think that is true today?

He is 100% right. This was a well deserved loss last night, and the Red Sox EMBARRASSINGLY threw the white flag, before, during, and after the game . There is no way to sugarcoat this. JH, Bloom, and Cora are all to blame.

Well said, and I agree 100%. This should have been Whitlock’s day to pitch. I don’t want to hear he is being saved for the Yankees. This team needs every win they can get, and are nowhere good enough to be saving anyone for anything.

According to CBS Dugy was benched in the game yesterday for not hustling to 2B on a ball Yoshida chopped to the 1B, who threw Dugy out at 2B. Dugy out of the lineup tonight.
