Fallen behind by a big 1 run, but as inept as the Sox bats were yesterday I guess Cora thought the game was out of reach, so I guess it was the right move. Like I said yesterday I don’t care if the Red Sox were playing 10 games yesterday you don’t have the luxury of time anymore to be saving for anything.
I agree that Cora’s pitching management didn’t cost the Sox the two games yesterday, but to me bringing LL in when he did was not the best choice he could have made.
Well said, and as I said earlier in this thread it should be an embarrassment from JH, and the rest of baseball ops right down to Cora, and the players.
Big second game only in terms of staying ahead of the Yankees, or not. A win, and you stay 2 games ahead, but a loss, and you’re tied for 4th, or 5th , and back to 500 they go.
I don’t care if the Red Sox are playing 10 games today. If you have a chance to win a game you take it. You can’t be choosy at this point. Time is running out. LL is not your best option.
Yoshida did Not start off at leadoff, because Cora said he didn’t want to put that pressure on him, and batted him 4th I believe. Don’t have a choice to give him his shot next year unless you can find a trading partner.
If Masa was coming out this year instead of last year do you think he would have been signed, and would the need be as great this year as last year? Lots of moving parts in the OF now, and I think his contract money could have been spent better elsewhere. All of this he’d be better as the DH just doesn’t seem he was worth the $100M spent.
