  1. Just to get someone younger, and if cheaper that’s fine too. Jansen pitched his lowest amount of innings last year outside of his rookie, and the Covid year, so another year older and on the old bod.
  2. I’m all for trading Jansen, but if you do he has to be replaced, and that would cost too.
  3. I wouldn’t trade Dugo just for the sake of trading him. He will be on his last contract yarrow before hitting FA, so that may be a good thing.
  4. Can’t trades be made starting today? How about a big splash from Breslow on day 1!
  5. If Dugo is still there I can’t see Duran, Raf Man, and Abreu still all on the club, and especially if Duvall, or someone similar gets added.
  6. I get that, and we’ve talked about this before, but starting Duran, Raf Man, and Abreu in the OF seems like a risky move to me.
  7. I heard John Henry showed up late at the press conference today. Must have been sailing into a headwind. Now Sam after an exhausting 7 week search can take some much needed time off, after a job well done.
  8. I’m still hoping they’ve got a SS who can be competent with the bat, and glove with emphasis on bat.
  9. If he was surprised he shouldn’t have been. Bogey was gone when they only offered him that 1 yr extension before the 2022 season. He wasn’t gone just when SD signed him.
  10. I already know about 1B, and 3B. I was talking about the other positions you mentioned.
  11. Dugo is not going to get you very much back especially after his 2nd half decline, and one more year before he can hit the FA market.
  12. That’s why I said earlier about Breslow that living in the area, and playing for the Red Sox he knows all about Red Sox Nation, and what goes along with it. I don’t believe Bloom ever did when he took the job.
  13. Very simple. I didn’t want to go the Tampa way. The Red Sox won 4 championships by not doing it the Tampa way. They also had last place finishes not doing it the Tampa way. What may work in Tampa most likely won’t work in Boston.
  14. I’m fully convinced that Bloom didn’t make any trades with top prospects was his decision alone. Spending more I don’t believe was.
  15. First no one knows outside of SS who is going to be playing at any of those positions next year. I was just mainly talking about 1B, and 3B.
  16. You was the one who mentioned Bloom about putting him back in a box. Bloom will be talked about for years to come, and will go down just as a sour footnote in the history of the Red Sox.
  17. Along with a ticket price increase.
  18. It was figured out before the 43 games were played, and I bet Cora’s decision more than anybody.
  19. We’ll see if that plan changes, which I doubt, because most likely it was Cora’s plan too.
  20. Bloom was the piece of coal in your Christmas stocking.
  21. Like I said earlier that I’m fine to see what Breslow, and Cora can put together for a team, but as we all know new toys are only as good as how good they work.
  22. Unless Raffy, and Casas improve on D next year that part won’t change is right.
  23. Think what you want, but I said it a year ago when many on here was saying Story should stay at 2B, and the Red Sox needed to go out, and get a SS that the plan was Story was going to be the SS, which only changed when he got hurt.
  24. He’s the shiny new toy on Christmas morning.
