Here is the thing though, and probably what the Red Sox players, and coaches see. Toronto lost their closer for a few weeks, so what did they do go out, and get another one. Now their closer is back, and the closer they went out, and got is the setup man. Toronto lost their SS, so what did they do went out, and got a regular SS, and now for those two moves they are a better team for it. Compare that to what the Red Sox did when their SS went down before the season even started, and they lost 3 SP.

I think this sums it up pretty well. Using 2 openers against Toronto was just plain minor league, and small market stuff. Everyone knew the Red Sox had 3 pitchers coming back, but the problem was how many weeks did they go with out them. Another starter at the very least was needed weeks ago, and yet Bloom did nothing.

I’m just saying that none of the OF have hit as well since more of a rotation has happened since Duvall has come back.

That’s what I said. since Duvall has come back all of the OF has gotten plenty of rest, and I can’t see that has helped their play any especially their bats.

Ichiro played 150+ games 13 times up until age 41. I guess they just don’t make them like they used to.

You mean like keep hitting those ping pong balls to the IF? All of the OF have been getting rest anyways, because Cora has been rotating them, which I don’t think has really helped any of them, because seems like all their bats have not been doing much lately.

I agree 100%. The most games Yoshida has played is 143, and that was 4 years ago.

I agree, but Moons been calling for GOOD starting pitching for 2 years, but Bloom doesn’t seem to listen.

No it doesn’t make sense to have 2 DH’s on the team, but Bloom hasn’t spent much money on SP yet, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he comes back with pretty much the same starting staff with Whit, and Houck included next year.

If all the injured pitchers come back, and do well great, but to me the Red Sox went way too long using openers, and especially against the last series with Toronto. We’ll see how things end up, but if the Red Sox end up missing out on the postseason by a game, or 2 it won’t look so good.

I don’t seek out anyone. I mingle with Yankee fans, and a few O’s fans too . The worst part is mingling with Patriot fans, and I can’t stand the Patriots, so no I do not seek anyone out. That wouldn’t sound like any fun to me.
