  1. No, I said I goofed up. I thought for some reason the White Sox CF was named Martin. I wasn’t thinking about Chris Martin.
  2. Yes that would be a concern that I hadn’t looked up?
  3. Who would be aging from the Red Sox?
  4. My goof. I was talking thinking about Robert the White Sox CF.
  5. It’s been close since Brez was hired.
  6. Let’s throw in Martin, and some other pieces on the Sox, and make it a blockbuster.
  7. Have they even gotten a pitching coach yet?
  8. I have already mentioned before. Let’s make some trades for some younger pitching. And no I don’t know with who. FA pitchers with big contracts are just to risky to me.
  9. Rondon was pretty good his last two years, before the Yankees signed him. How did that work out? How has Robbie Ray worked out in Seattle? These guys were available too.
  10. The Yam Man’s suitors can begin courting tomorrow at 8 AM. I’m thinking his courtship will take longer than what Bloom’s did with Yoshida, which was done in record time.
  11. I don’t know how the Yam Man will work out, but I’ve been telling you guys that this current crop of FA pitching is not worth all that money. You guys are trying awfully hard to convince me they are. I’ve been saying right along I would rather see the Red Sox trade for some young pitching from somewhere that would be a lot cheaper, and hopefully just as good. Most of these guys are just getting paid more so, because they are available than anything else. Let’s made some trades.
  12. I understand that point just like ticket prices go up every year to help pay for it.
  13. If that’s the case That just show how far #2 pitchers have fallen.
  14. Now you’re finally getting it.🙈
  15. I understand that, but still bad comparisons.
  16. If the Red Sox could get Monty for $30M over 3 years I’m in.
  17. Monty has been compared to Scherzer, and now Lester, and he’s not as good as either one.
  18. I’ll agree with that.
  19. You guys can Pooh, Pooh W-L records all you want like they don’t mean anything at all, and I never said they mean everything, but they do mean something. Just, because the Red Sox are in desperate need of SP, and he’s available doesn’t mean that now all of a sudden he’s better than he really is, and the Red Sox should try, and grab him. We disagree on what to call him, or if he’s worth the money, but no big deal.
  20. Ah the old school thing again. I’ve already said all his other stats look good, but I just don’t think he’s a $100M+ man, and you guys are all trying to convince that he is.
  21. He’s pitched 7 years now in the big leagues, and accumulated a 38-34 record, and has also been on 3 teams in the last 3 years, and now he’s a $100M+ man?
  22. If Monty wasn’t a FA would you trade a top prospect for him?
  23. Productive to me means he wins games. All the other stats are good enough though.
  24. His ERA the past 3 seasons have been real good. The article I read on CBS predicting the contracts of the top 10 FA said said that Monty might not be a flashy as the other top FA pitchers, and some don’t view him as a frontline starter. I think that sums Onty up pretty well.
  25. His high in wins is 10 in his career, which was last year. I know some don’t care about W-L records, but that just doesn’t add up to me being worth $100M+ no matter what, or how many other stats you bring up.
