  1. Imanaga to be posted today. He would be the cheaper version than the big Yam.
  2. The team has to many players who is more suited to be DH, but Casas at 1B does mute any talk of Raffy moving there at the present time.
  3. It would be great if the Red Sox had all these players that was good all around players, but they don’t. Raffy is not a good 3B. Casas is not a good 1B, and Yoshida is not a good OF just to name 3 players. If they don’t get better you either live with it, or made some trades, which I don’t see happening with Raffy, or Casas anytime soon.
  4. We all know Raffy is not a good 3B, and may never be one, but all the talk of him moving to 1B is mute as long as Casas is there.
  5. I agree, and Cora has already said Raffy is the 3B next year, and like MVP said it wouldn’t make sense to put Raffy at 1B, which would probably hurt his D at 3B even more, and I agreed. Everyone is free to think otherwise making sense, or not.
  6. I agree 100%, but one on here keeps touting Raffy as a backup 1B.
  7. Devers has 2 positions. 3B, or DH. 1B is not in his immediate future especially as a backup.
  8. I know everyone on here is sold on with Duran, but I am not. I know he was better last year than his disaster 2022, but I would want to see more of his 2023 again before I pencil him in FT anywhere. He didn’t finish 2023 very good his last month before he got hurt, and he may only be somewhere as good between his 2022 season, and 2023, so what then. Once again I don’t see Raffy as any backup at 1B this coming year, and I don’t believe Cora does either. He needs all the work he can get at 3B.
  9. When it comes to $300M deals Devers simply hasn’t measured up according to the article by John Tomase. OUCH!
  10. I agree, and to me it’s a waste of talent. The Dodgers played Mookie in the IF last year too, because he can play there, but to me that’s a waste of what he can do in RF too, and it took that away.
  11. We were talking about Breslow, but for some reason Moon had to bring up Bloom, and me again, which Bell has already explained to him 3 times.
  12. OMG! You brought it up again today. I know a skunk doesn’t smell his own stink, but come on man!
  13. He just can’t do it. It’s a curse not a gift. But remember he’s not a Bloom guy.🤭
  14. If you want to be like me, and put the Brez in the same light as I put Bloom even though he hasn’t done anything yet go for it, but I’m guessing unlike with me you won’t turn out to be correct.
  15. Just an opinion, but I believe Cora has a bigger say of things today then he did when Bloom was in charge.
  16. You have pointed out me not liking the Bloom hire from day 1 456 times now, and I think everyone on here knows that . Bloom, and Brez are two different people coming into 2 different entirely different situations. Bloom followed DD, and Brez is following Bloom a guy who was in over his head from day 1. Brez I believe will get lots of input from Cora, so once again these are 2 so different situations that inconsistencies wouldn’t even exist.
  17. You keep talking about my original insight on Bloom for the 455th time, but yet you say it doesn’t bug you just like you said you weren’t a Bloom guy. OMG, OMG, OMG. The fact is my first, and last thought on Bloom was 100% correct, so thanks again for pointing that out.Bloom is gone, and the Brez is the Prez, and Bloom set such a low last place bar there is nowhere to go, but up.
  18. As the voice of reason let’s see what The Brez, and Cora come up with, before we get out the tar, and feathers.
  19. MLB Trade rumors projections put him at $15.3M for what it’s worth. Sportrac $14.6M
  20. A description on Torre’s is he be making around $15M, and his defense is either stellar, or bush league.
  21. Jansen pitched the least amount of innings last year since his rookie year outside of the Covid year. I know he’s only 36, but his body isn’t as young as Martin’s.
  22. I don’t believe you can upgrade all that you mentioned by FA alone. If no trades are made with prospects I don’t see that the upgrades will happen either. Outside of trades SP is not going to be cheap unless you pass on the top 3-4 available.
  23. Houck, and Whitlock back to the pen would make it even deeper, and stronger. I don’t think Martin will duplicate last year, but he still should be good. Jansen is a year older, and a bigger question to me if he can hold up through the year with those creaky old bones, and joints.
  24. SP, and SP are still the top two priorities, and that will take a good part of the budget to spend. I’m fine with Duvall coming back, but that’s not a certainty.
