    As a fact Malzone was the last player to win a Gold Glove before Brooks went on a 16 year run.

    Oh, I have said that before, and even brought up Boggs name too who didn’t start out as a good 3B, but got better. I was just bringing up an old Sox name like Malzone like I did the other day asking Max if Piersall was the best CF he had ever seen with the Red Sox.

    The Kut Man, and Whit didn’t make 5 the last time out. The BP has had plenty of work already.

    I think past history on the starting 5 did not leave anyone to get all that excited that they would be any top 10 starting staff who would last physically, and pitch well for a full season. On the other hand after just 1 time through the rotation all kinds of bells, and whistles were going off, and one poster called it the best rotation in RS history. Talk about a small SAMPLE size. Every game counts, but let’s see how the staff is holding up, and pitching on Memorial Day. 2 starters have had injuries already.🙈🤭

    Malzone was the 3B that I can remember when I first started watching the Red Sox. I don’t remember that much about him, and was just throwing an old name out there to Max who’s been watching the Sox longer than I have.

    I never said attendance had dropped, but only why it hasn’t like it should have.

    Everyone knows why Raffy is getting $300M, and the fact that he has been charged with ONLY 1 error certainly does not mean he has made all the plays at 3B that he should have. I think you’ll admit he’s no Frank Malzone with the glove.

    Sure they do, and Red Sox fans are everywhere, but that doesn’t change the fact that more opposing fans have taken over Fenway the past couple of years, which has been seen, and mentioned on the broadcast, and in the papers.

    Can he make the routine plays? That’s what should matter most. Imagine if Raffy could just make the routine plays.

    The only reason that attendance hasn’t dropped as much as it should have is because the opposing teams fans are coming to Fenway in bigger numbers, and especially last year. I heard a couple of days ago that yesterday was not a sellout, so I don’t know if it stayed that way, or not.

    What about Cora’s Run Prevention Unit that he created this year? It doesn’t appear to be working out all that well at the moment.

    $140M is a lot of money to spend on repairs, and maintenance for Story Land to be only open for a short time each year.

    What ever the solution I expected it to be a cheap one, and so far the solution is calling up the Ham Man, and Romy.

    Cora says there is concern with the bone structure, and surgery is possible, and back to LA to see a doctor. A platoon at SS with Romy, and the Ham Man, and Grissom will get some reps at SS down below. No mention of Raf Man moving to SS.

    NO One has said the Red Sox don’t have bigger needs than SS depth, but now lack of SS depth has reared its ugly head again. Maybe they could bring Kike back.

    Wow! f***ton of holes. Did you expect Story Land to be open for 140 games this year. If you did that’s pretty bad planning. I’m not disagreeing with Bell that Breslow can figure this out better than Bloom now, but I still think a cheap good defensive SS should already be around. Agree, or not it’s not a f***ton of a big deal.🙈🤭🤮

    But still no good backup defensive SS. If RAF Man gets moved to SS then so be it, but you don’t have a lot of good backup depth in the OF.

    I agree, but to me you should always have a good backup defensive SS around somewhere especially with Story being your #1 guy.
