  1. 👍👍👍🤫
  2. Is Nola, and Monty a better pitcher than Wacha? Yes. Do you get better results from Monty, and Nola and pay a lot bigger price? Yes, and no.More innings from Nola, and Monty yes. What is getting swept under the carpet.?
  3. I LOVE it when a plan comes together.
  4. I’m an Old Schooler, and yes W-L record is the first thing I look at, and then ERA. Then I go down to hits, walks, and K’s per innings pitched. That’s all I need, and it’s good enough for ME. It stills amusing to me when bells, and whistles goes off on here when Old School stats are mentioned.🙈🤭
  5. Bellinger wasn’t resigned by the Cubs for what he did prior to 2023, and the previous 3 years, but what he pretty much did in 2023. The ONLY question is can he put 2 good seasons together in a row.
  6. If he signed this contract then Boras asking price definitely wasn’t out there, so he signed this, and if he has a good year will try for that big contract again next year.
  7. No! 1 yr/$30M after he opts out after that first year.
  8. Bellinger inks 3yr/$80M with Cubs, which pretty much amounts to 1yr/$30M.
  9. He’s far from a wasted roster spot.
  10. 🙈🤭 I have said for the last two months that Bobby D would be the backup 1B/3B. He’s available, and he’s cheap if nothing else. If Bobby D was going to be gone he would have been gone by now, but he’s still here, so some will have to get over that.
  11. Is it March 28th yet?
  12. Bloom called them Underdogs last year, and as it looks right now it’s even more so this year.
  13. They were already in trouble after the last two years, but they found a way to even make it worse.
  14. I thought Whitlock should have been tried as a closer after the 2021 season, but they messed him up in the rotation the last two years. Going back strictly to the pen may straighten him back out.
  15. Agree, but like I keep repeating it is not Mar 28 yet.
  16. I think people on here are to hung up on the CBT, and have been for the last three years at least. Just, because there is a CBT doesn’t mean the Red Sox are going to spend up to it. I asked the question last offseason on who in the Red Sox organization said they were going to spend up to the CBT. Nobody, and they didn’t. If they have a set budget, and no one on here knows what that is then that’s all they are going to spend up to, and maybe not all the way.
  17. I thought the supposedly $300M offer came from DD?
  18. Supposedly DD was discussing a trade for Mookie with the Dodgers in 2019 when the Red Sox were floundering so much, but the Red Sox started to win some games, and discussion were stopped according to Friedman after Betts was signed.
  19. I wonder what DD had coming back from the Dodgers when he discussed the supposed trade the year before that he backed out of?狼
  20. Casas was a good pick in 2018, but Jeremy Peña was just up the road 300 miles, or so, which Houston didn’t take to the 3rd round, and could have been had, and would most likely be the starting SS now.
  21. I think Sale does well in Atlanta, but if Grissom does well it was well worth it. Gio could go either way.
  22. I’m still going to wait, and see how things look on Mar 28, but I agree there is no excitement on anything done yet.
  23. I wouldn’t call it a mess that Bloom was handed, but he sure made it a mess. He had 3 years to deal with expiring contracts, and what did he do, or didn’t do? Word is out there he had a chance to get rid of Sale, and his ENTIRE contract, and didn’t do it. He also let JD, Nate, and Bogey’s contact just run out. A good, or a competent HOBO would have done a better job, which Bloom wasn’t.
  24. Altuve, and Astros agree on 5 yrs/$125M.
  25. There are more than a few Red Sox fans out there who do feel like that.
