  1. I don’t think anyone has said there aren’t dumpster dives on any team, but that doesn’t stop the complaints that the Red Sox visit there as often as they do. I don’t even know if the Wing Man, and the Yo Man wasn’t picked up at the dump itself.
  2. Oh no! I’ve been misled all these years that the Red Sox were a big market club. What a bummer, and very disturbing to say the least.
  3. They are still a Big market team, but chose not to spend like one, which is not the same thing, and that’s where a lot of the complaints come from for all the dumpster diving they do.
  4. Yes they do condemn the entire dumpster diving process, and will continue to do so, because a big market team, and status of the Red Sox shouldn’t have to do it as often as they do to fill out the 26 man roster.
  5. I agree with the 3-4 more wins with a better backend of the BP. I’ve been saying for over a week now that the BP needed help at the AS break, and nothing was done. You won’t get those losses back either.
  6. Yea that’s one way to look at it, but a very good way, and I don’t think most Red Sox fans, or management for that matter are looking at it that way. I’d say the glass is 99% empty.
  7. Very easy answer is that every move the Red Sox make gets scrutinized, and gets judged accordingly, and most fans are fed up with all the dumpster dives, and these two were as deep as you can get.
  8. The big false alarm of Anthony being scratched from the lineup was, because the manager forgot that Anthony had an eye appointment, and had made the lineup out the previous day.
  9. His back was acting up.
  10. I thought Criswell should have made the rotation out of ST, and Whit started in the BP, but right now I don’t see any problem with him being the long man. More than likely another starter will go down anyway, and Criswell will be back in the rotation at some point. Yes he had that good start in Colorado, but he hadn’t been all that impressive before that, and had been sent back to Woo. I’m not sure that Paxton is going to be that much better though.
  11. I think Brez did a better job helping the BP than he did the rotation, and a RHB.
  12. He did get some real trash in the Wingman who’s been DFA already, and the Yo Man who’s on his 4th team already this year, and should follow the Wing Man out the door. These two were worse than anyone they replaced.
  13. Brez did make moves. The BP got some badly needed help. It would have been nice if it would have been done during the AS break, but better late than never. Brez got help for the rotation. How much Paxton has left, and how much help he will be remains to be seen. Brez got some RHB help. I would have rather gotten JT instead, so we’ll have to see how much help Jansen will give them. It’s not like he was having a big year with the bat. Brez has made moves, and as I expected nothing big coming, or going, so now we’ll have to see how this all turns out.
  14. Luis Garcia to the Red Sox!
  15. Only 35.1 innings in 43 appearances so he strictly a 1 inning pitcher if that.
  16. So far the Red Sox have done pretty much what I thought they would do. Nothing big going, or coming.
  17. He’s certainly had some big hits, and been more GOshida than NOshida lately.
  18. I know he did, but I had mentioned earlier that to me JT would have better pickup for a RHB than Jansen, and that’s what I was commenting on.
  19. He hasn’t had that good a year this year as last year, but coming back to Fenway for a couple of months in a postseason race might have rejuvenated him.
  20. A better pickup than Jansen IMO.
  21. Dodgers get Kopech.
  22. Fedde to the Cardinals.
  23. Another arm, and a young arm, but he hasn’t shown much so far.
  24. Nailed it. I wonder how Brez explained the Sale trade to JH, or Sam who then explained it to JH? Knowing that Gio’s contract would be added too.
  25. Yes I’ve believed all along, and still do that $17M is a big deal. It didn’t save any money unless you want to say they used the $10M to help pay Gio, so instead of $18M it’s really only $8M, but then again your still paying that $17M for Sale to play for someone else, and the fact that he’s pitching so good makes it even look worse. I’m sure JH isn’t to thrilled how this has all worked out.
