Wow! With all the boo hoo going on here the last month, or so with all the front office, and ownership bashing that I was told was so bad, and being a bad fan when I criticized Bloom I would say it sounds like some of you need a hug from Sam, or Tom, which probably would be better than a cookie.

Just like JBJ’s lack of hitting was due to facing different pitchers in a different park in a different league when he went to Milwaukee. Bad part was he couldn’t hit when he came back to Boston either. Must have been going to a different park in a different league facing different pitchers again. More than a head scratcher.

Never was? He couldn’t throw in 2021, and there was most likely surgery in his future like Bagwell, and Biggio predicted, but they signed him anyway.

They had a ten year anniversary last year with interviews from all except JH who participated. A thrill of a lifetime with a living legend.

He’s probably a hermit as far as Fenway goes, but he probably shows up more at some of his other venues.

He went for the big bats like Story Land, and Yoshida.

It was always value, but I think up until the last 5-10 years JH actually cared what that value looked like on the field even to the point of showing up on the Felger, and Massorotti show to tell his side of how LL ran the Red Sox.

I’m surprised you didn’t want to bring JBJ back out of retirement, or pine for Gallo again for the OF. Wacha was much more serviceable.

I don’t know, but full throttle has taken up quite a bit of time not to mention how spend thrifty JH has become.

And at this point the Red Sox May be just added value to that portfolio,and not much else. Playoffs? Did someone say playoffs?

Agree. After 2 straight years of a losing last place in a Div team, and one of the big worries on here on who’s going to be the emergency 1B. 🙈🤭

Show the post where it says looking at a box score counts as an eye test. More FAKE NEWS that you have come up with several times. Wash, rinse, and repeat. Not necessarily. You have to have a base, or foundation first. The farm is not a foundation, but an addition. Raffy Bogey, and Mookie should be the foundation now, and then additions can be added by the farm, and elsewhere. Yes those 3 were from the farm, but what was they added to when they came up?

Bottom line farm rankings doesn’t guarantee success at the big leagues level, and the big leagues level is what’s most important.
