  1. That’s just more spaghetti being thrown against the wall, and as usual nothing’s sticking.
  2. I repeat 1 HR, and 4 RBI. Fans expected a lot more from him than that. little Anthony was called a flop for his performance so far this year, and justifiable so IMO. No one has said he doesn’t have a bright future, but up until he got hurt 1 HR, and 4 RBI to go along with 33 K’s isn’t cutting it for plenty of fans. His dismissal showing so far is one of the many reasons the Red Sox record isn’t better than it is. In case you haven’t noticed the stats have been counting since March, and so have the games. Everyone has been scrutinized since game 1 of the season, and that’s the way it works especially in Boston, and especially with the team being 9 games under 500.
  3. He’s still platooned, and getting pinched hit for, so the training wheels are still on.
  4. Probably because he’s hitting better than the lightweights DUBin, and Mayer.
  5. The Red Sox just have to ride things out for the time being, and go with what they have even if it’s the Gaspers, Sogard, and IKF of the world.
  6. I just said I’d take the numbers, but definitely not the contract.
  7. You play him at SS for the time being, and send Mayer, and DUBin down to WOO to learn how to hit.
  8. 86 HR, and 279 RBI the last three years. I’ll take those numbers.
  9. I’m not even going to mention how many games under 500 the hometown team is today, and they probably don’t deserve any mention atall except from the Fred’s, and Mad Storks of the world.
  10. Anyone who says that they wasn’t expecting great things from little Anthony this year would be telling a tall one. Anyone who says they hadn’t expected more than 1 HR, and 4 RBI before he got hurt AGAIN would also be telling a tall one. You guys all think that OPS is the end all, be all that tells all, but it isn’t. He didn’t get all his hype, and expectations put on him, because he could draw some walks. He looked pretty good last year before he got hurt, but after going 3-4 on opening day he pretty much didn’t do much more after that before he once again got hurt. This year is all that matters right now, and yes he only just turned 22, and all the hype shouldn’t have been placed on him, but it was. He’s already been called a flop on one of the major talk shows so that’s what’s being said out there. You guys can look at it anyway you want to make you feel better, but still highly SuSpect to me at the moment. 25-109 with 1 HR, and 4 RBI with 33 K’s is what he’s done this year, and you can OPS all you want, but those numbers aren’t good especially for someone who had so much hype, and expectations put on them. I think it’s funny you added last year’s stats to try, and make him look better. It didn’t work. The spotlight is on what he’s done, or hasn’t done this year, which is a contributing factor to the Red Sox not so stellar start.
  11. Ranger’s last 4 starts innings pitched. 4.0 5.1 4.1 5.0 He hasn’t given up many runs in that span, but he’s got to go longer than that.
  12. Red Sox falling to 8-18 at not so friendly Fenway is total embarrASSment.🤭🙈🤮.
  13. Not a single person in the organization had all the suspects penciled into any plan? What’s your sources to make that comment? I bet you don’t have any. Changes obviously had to be made. Casas has been hurt multiple times. Teel got traded, and KC, because of his lackluster play is still stuck in limbo down in Woo after starting last season in Boston, but can’t make it back. NOman Anthony hasn’t hit much of anything, and did not live up to all his hype, and expectations so far, and now he’s hurt again. Mayer still seems to be all glove, and no bat so far, so I would say things have not gone, or worked out as the big master plan called for.
  14. I agree that it’s not time to sell, and if, and when it comes is who.
  15. Yes, and those 6 teams can be saying the same thing, and those 6 teams don’t have to play as well. 8 games under 500 is 8 games under 500, and just getting to 500 is a low bar in itself.
  16. Yes the Red Sox will pick up those 2 contracts no problem.🙈
  17. Like I keep saying being 8 games under 500 at this stage of the season in a league that is watered down and very weak shows how much they have really sucked.
  18. 8 games under 500 is a Big issue. 6 teams ahead of the Red Sox are also a BIG issue who can All win enough to stay ahead of the Red Sox.
  19. 7-48 in May. 5 RBI. He hit his 1 HR in April against that non pitcher.
  20. I agree, and to me being 8 games under 500 is the most telling, which the Red Sox are back to after narrowing it to 5 under after the KC series.
  21. A question on the airwaves today is how many have bought into the Illusion of Contention with the wildcard. Have you changed your mind from Friday morning to Monday morning?🤔
  22. If that wasn’t the plan, because all I heard the last three years is wait till that bumper crop from the farm gets up here. They’ve all come at one time, or another some have been injured like Casas some have flamed out real quick like KC, and NOman, and Mayer haven’t lived up to expectations around some injuries the last two years. What’s next?
  23. Someone has been beating the drums for Chapman for 3 years now. I don’t see anyway like you said the Red Sox are trading for an aging 3B with plenty of more time left on their contract. It’s just more uncooked spaghetti not sticking to a wall.
