  1. I’m just guessing to get other players in the lineup. Masa is no JD, Ortiz, or even a Flintstone Schwarber.
  2. Last year the Red Sox fired 3B coach, and infield instructor in Febles. How did the new IF instructor work out this year?
  3. SDP just got better this year, and I don’t think it had anything to do with the payroll. Did payroll have more to do with the Red Sox hanging around the 500 mark this year, or was it the Sale-Gio-Grissom deal not working out plus adding the injuries of Story, Casas, and Whitlock?
  4. I doubt very much at all the Red Sox have Mayer on the block, and the Red Sox still have Story under contract for the next 3 years. A total non story to me.🙈🤭
  5. If the Red Sox go out, and get pitching I would rather see them get someone younger than Gausman. Toronto has some things to figure out on their own like Vlad Jr, so I don’t see any interest with Masa.
  6. The Red Sox fired 6 coaches. Things are coming together now.
  7. And horse hockey.
  8. When Bloom jumped on Masa, and shut down the bidding process the Red Sox needed OF, and now they have an abundance. I don’t think the Sox want a FT DH either, so now Masa has become an unwanted problem. Very doubtful he is in any kind of demand, so the Red Sox are stuck with what to do with him. This is what Brez gets paid the big bucks for to figure out.
  9. I know you guys like throwing things out there like wanting Chapman at 3B, but usually when I respond it’s not what I think, but what I think the Red Sox will do, which could be two completely different things . Makes more sense to me.
  10. If someone can afford what it will take to buy the Red Sox I’m sure they can afford to put money back into the club, and most likely will. I’m not looking for someone to go nuts like to Dodgers do, so no you are wrong again that everybody wants the LAD owner. You probably send JH a Xmas card every year, and probably have a picture of him hanging up somewhere too, and that’s alright.
  11. I know what you meant, and I know you wasn’t impressed with the contract they gave the RAF Man. Time will tell on that.
  12. To many years, and to much money left on his contract even if there was any interest at all in Trout, which I don’t believe there is.
  13. Kind of early to judge that on the RAF Man IMO. Remember a couple of years ago Duran didn’t even look like a ML player at all.
  14. If they added the pitches you mentioned I understand, but I just don’t see the Red Sox adding any top guys for the rotation, or the BP through FA. Those will be highly sought after, and I don’t the Red Sox outbidding many teams. I’m not counting on all of Bello, Kut Man, and Houck all staying healthy, and making 30 starts either.
  15. Scott will have plenty of suitors, and if any of the big bidders are in the Red Sox have little to no chance. Outside of that it sounds good.
  16. I don’t see just replacing contracts ass adding. Now if Pivetta, Jansen, and Martin’s contracts wasn’t up , and they added 3 more pitchers that to me is adding, but just replacing those three aren’t. Trading Sale, and Signing Gio was just swapping. We’ll just have to wait, and see what the Sox do.
  17. Agree, and I think anything more than just replacing the contracts coming off the books, like Sale, Martin, and Jansen plus a few others would be doing something to them.
  18. Oh no! Keeping Casas at 1B, and Raffy at 3B. I know it bugs the crap out of you, but what you still don’t comprehend is that the Red Sox aren’t bothered enough to make all these changes that you want IMO.
  19. I’ve already responded to the careful what you wish for from Moon more than once. I’ll take my chances.
  20. Whitlock said in an interview with TC during ST last year that he wanted to be a Swiss Army knife. That doesn’t sound like wanting to start to me.
  21. Did the scouts see him as a good to adequate OF? Did the scouts see him as a DH? It seems everyone wants to get rid of him now, so I don’t see that as any overreacting. He’s taken up space, and for a hefty price at that.
  22. Once again I’ll say with 100% certainty that the Red Sox have no interest in Trout playing make believe, or not.
  23. NO One is not grateful for the 4 WS won under JH ownership, but he’s used up his usefulness, and it’s time for him to go IMO. You don’t have to hate someone to want someone to go, and it won’t take any glory away either. I know you like to dramatize, but that doesn’t change anything.Sell, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
