Duran will continue to K as long as he maximizes launch angle. swinging under any pitch above his belt. His inconsistent foot/leg lift doesn't help his positioning . Finally, like others on this team he has trouble catching up to fastballs

Bennett through 5 in 54 pitches. Another excellent outing by a young LH'er. I would not trade Early, Bennett or Tolle this deadline. I am sure CB will get offers . We need more info on Early's elbow condition. OK, maybe he can go

Watching Duran run to score the first run you think that player is a resource that a big playoff team could use in certain spots The hole it creates defensively with Masa is a result of Anthony's never ending rehab. You can't give up a GG'er in Fenway RF so Abreu is a keeper. I would not accept a lowball for Duran. They can deal with that in the winter , short of a good offer now from a rich club -

Thanks for the article. Now I know it is less than 50-50 that Crochet will pitch anytime before September Basically, he needs to relearn how to throw to avoid tearing up his rotator cuff. Not encouraging. -

I do not see much news on Crochet's recovery or lack thereof. Last update on RedSox.com is June 22. While he is still considered a TOTR starter, how about the fact that he is missing over 50% of the season with no sign of return. Recommendation: Do Not Trade Starting Pitching to solve the hitting issue. The Sox ( Breslow) are extremely lucky that Early, , Bennett, and Tolle have been big contributors along with Gray and Suarez. Now Early and Suarez are ???? at the moment. Can Sandoval go more than 3 innings for a awhile? If there was reason to think Crochet was on track to return by the TD ( 8/3) go ahead and shop Gray but stop there. If any GM wants the rehabbing Houck or Crawford , you are welcome to them. -

Ground ball inducing pitchers last a long while. Flyballers don't. Our young LH'ers seem to have difficulty holding runners close at 1B. They need to give Wong & Narvaez a chance.
